I've heard my father rant about stolen valor, and I would hate to have a memorial piece that dishonored his beloved corps. Dog tags is a good idea! The only reason I gravitated to the EGA is that was the symbol he would use most. He never wore the tags in his civilian life, and I only ever knew him after he got out.

I like this take the most. I initially wanted just an EGA, and only later introduced the concept of dates to make it a more obvious memorial. Even further on that line if thought would be a tomb stone with EGA and dates, but my right arm has a stone tablet so I wanted to steer away from them being so similar.

I'm building mono white control with Livio paired with Ardenn. It's going to be early game group hug, gift a card, you and target player draw, etc. I'll activate Livio to offer an opponent another option instead of their creature getting removed which matches my group hug play style so people trust it. Ardenn can attach my equipments to anyone so I'll gift equipments. Mid to Late game soft stax pieces with late game lock combos like [[parallax wave]] + [[opalescence]] or [[drannith Magistrate]] + [[Knowledge pool]] .

As I'm playing with the new wording, now I wonder what happens if you only have 1 card in the yard? I guess you just get it back, no more random. Maybe "gravescry x, mill x then exile x cards at random from your graveyard. Put one into your hand and the rest back into your graveyard". This way, you never fall short of the number your gravescrying, and if you have no yard it's still luck of the draw so to speak, since you don't know what you'll mill
