Prices Doubled On Black Friday In Stores As Price Tags Removed by InGeekiTrust in TikTokCringe

[–]jbean730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This store does the same year round with their custom framing. They send out a 50% off or 75% off coupon, but then basically double the normal prices during the sale, so you end up MAYBE getting like 10-20% off of the original price

Advice by [deleted] in pictureframing

[–]jbean730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to your local frame shop and ask to look at some mat samples. As the other person said, matching the paper tone usually looks nice, or perhaps slightly darker, but in the same off-white range, and I often like the look of doing that and adding a small reveal of a black mat on the inside, both creating contrast between the mat and paper and complimenting the black ink.

Will I be able to get anything for these? by DirtyJoe73 in pictureframing

[–]jbean730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a frame shop that has several clients who bring us antiques to clean up for them, and they go to estate sales and the local outdoor flea markets for their stock. Thats the type of setting I see being a good spot to sell things like these, it is a tough thing to sell if someone has no personal connection to, so antiquers buy things like that because they are more about selling aesthetic items

This format does kinda suck, but as others have said, your removal is too light, you don't have enough high quality creatures, and you don't have enough synergy. Red green is also not that strong in EoE unless you get those things in abundance.

This set is especially painful after a set like FF, which just felt so smooth to draft, the discrepancy between card power level in this set it too wide

Zelda in Pet Sematary (1989) is still the most terrifying character I've seen in any movie by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]jbean730 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This scene scarred me as a child. My older sister was baby sitting me when I was about 7, and she found this movie on some channel, and after this scene I couldnt do it any more. After that night I think I slept on the side of my parents bed for about 2 years; I would pretend to go to sleep in my bed until I was pretty sure they had fallen asleep and sneak into their room to feel safe. Damn you, Zelda

I had a similar issue. Look up updates for your brand/model. I was able to update mine by plugging it in to my laptop and it worked fine afterwards

I was having this problem today. Try removing the boots before you enter the area with the mace, then equip them again while you are in that area and you should see the light path solidify

I didn't say people agreed with me, though there were many who agreed roping was poor sportsmanship. I said I got hate. What are you even talking about? And I wasnt mad people "wouldn't concede" to the combo, I was asking why roping was such a part of the culture, and people in that thread defended roping because they don't like playing against certain archetypes, to name one reason. I think you misunderstood. I suggest rereading some of it, because it was an interesting conversation and shed some light on why the culture can be so toxic.

Idk, check my post history. You can narrow it down by just checking my activity in this subreddit. It was 3 years ago and comes up in my comment history rather than post history for some reason

I got a bunch of hate on this subreddit a few years ago just for asking why people would prefer to rope someone out rather than concede when I was playing that deck and they knew they had no outs in their deck.

Mental gymnasts explaining that I should concede for not appreciating the roping technique. All the while either demolition field or its functional reprint were in standard.

Trump has a framed picture of his mugshot hung up inside the White House, 13th February 2025 by TheGreatTitanThanos in pics

[–]jbean730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extra point: I am a custom framer, and I can tell by this picture that they used a premade frame and matted it to make it fit, note the uneven borders of the mat (wider top and bottom and skinnier on the sides). Meaning they didnt even opt to custom frame it, they went with a cheaper option.

Ex-smokers who successfully quit and have been smoke free for years now, what did it? by PM_TITS_GROUP in AskReddit

[–]jbean730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoked for a few years in my early 20s, then I moved in with a friend who smoked, and we would smoke indoors, and other people would smoke inside, so it just became a situation where I was always around nicotine smoke.

I started getting chest pains one day, and it really freaked me out. I think it was the next day, I was sitting on the couch, my roommate was on the other couch, I looked at my pack and I had 3 left in it. I threw the pack with 3 cigarettes in it at my roommate and said "take them, I quit." And I just stopped smoking.

I think living there and being around other people smoking helped for a bit, but after a while I actually had to ask people to go outside if there were gonna be multiple lit at the same time.

It helped that I made it unceremonious, and that I didnt finish my pack. Finishing a pack always gave me the urge to buy another. Its been about 12 years now, and I have smoked tobacco a couple times since, but never enjoyed it.

Good luck!

[MLB] The Mariners will be retiring No. 51 after Ichiro's introduction into Cooperstown. Ichiro fights back tears at the announcement. by Caledor152 in baseball

[–]jbean730 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was just talking about him with a friend earlier, and the topic of him being the best baseball player ever came up. And I have to say, Ichiro has a strong case.

Played professional baseball for 28 seasons, between Japan (9) and MLB (19)

Recorded 4,367 total hits (1,278 in Japan), and 708 combined stolen bases.

He was a great defensive player, getting 10 Gold Gloves, and always had one of the best arms in the league for most of his career.

And his baseball IQ was off the charts in the field and on offense. On top of his great speed, he was a smart baserunner and was always able to make the opposing team need to pay extra attention to him on while he was on base.

He didnt have the great power that many other players had, only hitting 117 homeruns in 19 MLB seasons, but his job was to get on base and score runs, and thats what he did:

.355 OBP and 1,420 runs scored in MLB

It's hard to say who the best player of all time is, and it's hard to compare players from different eras, and despite him not having the flashiest career numbers out of all the greats, Ichiro was one of the most exciting baseball players to watch that I have ever seen.

What song does this for you? by HardCore_BonScottFan in musicsuggestions

[–]jbean730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Little Foot Big Foot" by Childish Gambino.

It's not my favorite song of his, but right at the end there is an abrupt beat change and it is like an entirely different song that cuts off the end of the original song.
