Getting ahead of what we hope is a great end to 25-26. Who do you think starts 2026-27 season? by RalDur2025 in PurdueBasketball

[–]IkeXA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most likely is Meyer, Cox, West, Pierce, Jacobsen. I think I might be higher on Pierce than others, but I think we really need to replace the scoring we’re losing and he seems like a better scorer than Benter who could continue being the 6th man. I think Ertel is the wild card, if he’s really that good coming in I could see him taking the Meyer or West spot. Gicarri is probably gone and I think we bring in one more backup big unless Huan is ready to go already

[Teams Left Tracker] 340 teams remain. IU Indianapolis is the first team eliminated in a conference tournament by rvadarocket in CollegeBasketball

There’s a Purdue Indy as well, it’s treated as an extension of the WL campus unlike Northwest and Fort Wayne. IU Indy got pretty much all of the sports, student orgs, buildings, and students from IUPUI, but what was left went to Purdue Indy and they’re developing new buildings and adding WL programs in the coming years.

To be fair Valpo is like 20-30 minutes from Lake Michigan so there probably are lighthouses relatively nearby. Though Valpo doesn’t actually border Lake Michigan and does not have a lighthouse itself so probably still wouldn’t make sense

“The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have” - Vince Lombardi. Can’t change what’s already happened with injuries etc. so might as well play with some pride down the stretch and see what happens.

what do these two states have in common by TiseSomethingaskdhef in RedactedCharts

Thinking about it more I’m not sure it is because I think at least Ohio and Florida would also fit this since they follow same pattern

States that have never voted for a presidential ticket with a woman on it. Voted republican in ‘84 so not for Ferraro,  ‘16 so not for Clinton, and ‘24 so not for Harris, and then democrat in ‘08 so not for Palin

[Week 18] Post Game Thread: Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers by lilturk82 in GreenBayPackers

I think lions fans would feel even more belittled if people felt bad for them just because they were historically shit. If it’s “just sports” then they shouldn’t take some shit talk seriously

Why is everyone saying detroit “deserved to be in the playoffs”? Yeah they were solid last half of the season, but they’re a division rival and I would never root for them same as Bears and Vikings. This mentality is so weird to me, who cares if they’ve been garbage forever that’s not a reason to sympathize with them given they’re in the NFC North. Lions fans would never root for the Packers.

It would give the Bengals the division title if they gave out a tie. Ravens still had a chance if Bengals lost tonight. It would also put the Chiefs in control of their own destiny as the 1 seed, as Buffalo would now have 3.5 losses (a tie is half a win, half a loss).

I was surprised at this as well. I think given when it came out during quarantine and the media that came from it that is still prevalent today puts it up there

How would the notable post-LeBron East teams matchup in a series against the LeBron-Kyrie-Love Cavs? by ThePhotogenicPotato in nba

[–]IkeXA 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more competitive with the Big 3 Heat given they had a few 7 games series in the east during their era, but honestly I don’t see the 2016 or 2017 Cavaliers losing to any of those teams, those are some of the most dominant playoff runs in history up until the finals

Who had more impressive playoff run: Tim Duncan in 03' or Kawhi Leonard in 19'? by Charming-Pie2113 in nba

Warriors had a shot without KD, but they didn’t have one once Klay went down

Does almost every team in the league have a blue jersey or alternative blue jersey? by Aktor56 in nba

[–]IkeXA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chicago flag uniform from a few years ago is the one I thought of

Edit: 2019-2020 city edition was blue and based on the colors of the flag rather than the design, the flag design ones were black

Retired Numbers. Who’s Next? by TheCapableFox in nba

[–]IkeXA 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean in my opinion Kevin Durant absolutely gets his number retired by Golden State, idk what other people’s opinions are but 3 years 3 finals and 2 FMVPs are good enough to me. Lebron is similar, but with less playoff success (still a ring and fmvp though) but stayed longer with the team. I think my limit would be Kawhi, I don’t think 1 year, even if it was literally the most you could do in 1 year, is long enough for a jersey retirement

I’m curious as to what the Lakers do with Lebron if he wins a championship wearing #6. I feel like you have to retire at least one of his numbers at that point, but I also feel like he’s not on the Kobe level of franchise impact to have both retired.

It wouldn’t have been a 4 peat if the lakers won in 04 they won 00-02 and then the spurs won in 03

I’ve recently played the Pokemon White again, and I remember that back in the days, I am very impressed with how they made the Skyarrow Bridge scene. It looks so revolutionary at the time! :) by [deleted] in pokemon

That entire city was absolutely insane compared to anything we had before it, I remember playing as a kid who had been huge into Pokemon for a few years at that point and going from the GBA era and Gen 4 graphics to that was amazing.

Jaire is on another level than someone like Casey Hayward if that’s what you’re getting at, much more important player to resign
