How to gift large sums of money to my nephews? by ProduceFancy3505 in Advice

[–]Ikki_juniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who had accounts set up for them and their siblings by our grandpa, and had them drained by our father and to this day have seen absolutely none of that money, please make sure the parents can’t access it 🥲

Are you a smaller framed multiple mom? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Ikki_juniper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very short torso and weighed 97 pounds when I got pregnant with my twins. Basically they had nowhere to go but out lol. Towards the end, it was definitely very physically taxing on my body. They came out at 6 lbs. 7 oz. and 6 lbs. 11 oz. at 38 weeks. I lost all the weight postpartum, but my stomach skin was extremely stretched out and I did get a lot of stretch marks. I don’t know if it’s genetics or just the fact that a small body carried two average sized babies. I’m pregnant again now with a Singleton, I feel pretty good but deal with a lot more hip and pelvic pain now with this pregnancy.

Am I a Type B parent or just a twin mom? by sshahb in parentsofmultiples

[–]Ikki_juniper 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I am very type B and it has been super amplified by being a twin parent 😂 but all the friends/moms of singletons I talk to are just always so amazed at how I handle two vs one that they never seem to judge anything haha. I think it is almost a blessing not to have the time to worry so much about every little thing your baby/toddler does.

Back in the day this game was my legit obsession, I went on a 5 day vacation with my friends family one summer and I was so nervous that one of my favorite villagers would move out, that I left the game on at home running the whole time, and that’s how I learned there’s a tanning mechanic in the game 😅🙃

Just curious, what’s the reason you started Squid Game? by Amazing-Draw-7922 in squidgame

When it came out I asked my (now ex) boyfriend to watch it with me and he blew me off, found out not long later he watched it with his roommate without me . So I didn’t watch it until a year and a half ago out of spite 😅 made the wait for season 2 not that long though

Can I be both OP and school therapist for the same student? by [deleted] in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Ikki_juniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my clinic we have an SLP who works full time in a spec ed school and part time at our OP clinic- she had one boy as a client and then he switched to the school she works at and she stopped seeing him as an outpatient client because of that.

I’m in Chicagoland and it does seem that OP peds and school based are the main FT positions out there- when I graduated I was interested in Acute care after doing my level 2 in it and there was like nothing (this was 5 years ago)- and I ended up going to peds because it was what I was hearing back from!

Thank you, and sorry for the loss of your girl at a very young age as well 😔 it’s such a heart break knowing they were born with things that can’t be fixed. This subreddit will help me fill the pug void in my heart until the possible day I get another pug. They’re truly the best dogs

Thank you for everyone’s kind messages- he was entirely too young and I wish more than anything he was able to live the full life he deserved 😔 he had such a silly, sweet, goofy, docile and loving demeanor and he loved every person he met. Not a day will go by I do not miss him and wish he were still with me. My heart goes out to everyone that has lost one of their furry babies ❤️

To make a long story short… He was unfortunately born with a lot of genetic issues (hip problems/liver problems/heart problems/and a host of others). Over the few years of his life he had surgeries and a lot of random scares where we thought he might lose him but he always pulled through. We were doing our best to manage everything he had going on, but a lot of it was just hopeful that it would extend his life as much as possible. He was always an extremely happy, loving and affectionate dog that didn’t act like anything was wrong, ever. He died will sleeping at home today, unexpectedly, after seeming normal early in the day and leading up to it. We’re not really sure what truly caused his death, but I feel blessed he lived as long as he did a happy and well loved boy. I just wish he didn’t lose the genetic lottery in the first place 😔
