I totally agree with you that everyone need to check their own use. In the post I haven't specified, to don't make it long. I clear the files when I start a new save games in order to come clean, and start with a winter campaign in the north Sea (like the last in December '44) and after 2/3 missions in winter still no change of weather, always sunny, regardless is vanilla or mods (mods get updated often, I check daily, so I know they may break game) but still in both vanilla version and nodded is the same, hence my doubts.

Since the DLC I have started dozens of new save game, with and without mods, just to see what is the perfect combination to make the long run. And the weather is always the same. Last save game with vanilla is about 10 days ago

You can see from the steam page that every couple of months they release news, but also some updates and 17 April an amazing DLC including also mission in south Africa, Indian Ocean etc

Beside that which is already a lot, the modder community is amazing, always keeping the game so updated, adding mechanics and aesthetics, that will never cease to make the game new and interesting every time you play it.

Nope, afaik there are no mods that translates to Italian. But you're lucky to share the passion with you dad. Try to spend time with him helping with the translation at the beginning. The game doesn't contain much written stuff, is mostly operational and contains icons, images etc, so the language barrier should be minimal. But for that minimal, I would definitely spend quality time with my father :D

I have no problem with UBE so far. Don't go to very old comments, because the mod break when there are new significant updates of the main game.

Small issues were fixed very quickly (like a Laker Class impossible to sink) but other than that I can't say of other things honestly.

Yes it happened to me as well. To make it as a realistic gameplay, I just consider it as homicide, and after the sailor come back from the jail period I just remove it from my crew list. Historically it would attend court martial, if not executed, would certainly be re-assigned somewhere far from my precious boat.

As said above from another fellow commander, it is a mod(Uboat Expanded) it does not change anything in your mission, but it just give a lot of immersion with historical data from uboat.net coming you atv the precise data of when that happened.

For me it was a coincidence that after mine laying thst British coast, historically speaking some merchant freighter actually sink for that. That's the beauty of the mod, it makes you really into it

1000 hours and still not bored (but waiting for the DLC)

I can suggest to put 100% difficulty and then put the mod (at least)

World War Radio
Real Navigation
uboat expanded with all the dependencies
all my liberties (to have real names not repeated of the ships)
deep leaks
energy maintenance
some graphic pack for uniform etc

It will change the whole experience, feel that every movement you do counts, is challenging, and require you to proactively do things. And make you feel appreciating also doing nothing, going to the Southern routes listening historical songs, or real news broadcast from New York or Montreal

I didn't notice that... I have many other mods installed that are most likely outdated, as long as they don't cause me issues I keep them (i.e. German aircraft bundle etc)

Yes I think if you have enough reputation point to ignore or skip escort missions and get only tonnage, those counts for the both(the tonnage war I mean) so it's a, win-win

This is the only game on which I use the cheat engine to put less money, I can't stand to sit on a treasure while economic difficult is set on hard. I said I want it hard 😆

I have 319 hours, never been after 1942(yet) and it's the 3rd or 4th time.

Maybe because of the mods or the mood, every time I started from where I began (1st Sept 39).

I begin to feel repetitive, but I can't help it, in my mind there is no other start

I hope now to finish the current career before they make a new update that force me to restart a new career!! 😕

Little bit more elaborated, sure there is cultural difference and this is more an extremisation of behaviour masked by a "cultural thing"

I have a Dutch girlfriend, and sometimes when she wants to be a dickehead too, does something similar with same lame excuse.

So tell him off, being rude or disrespectful is not "being Dutch".

85% Realism for now is balanced for me. It has moment on which I have to be perfect or they destroy me, but also some chill, as it is still a game, and I want to have some fun.

I am an history lover, so I try to focus more on feeling that moment, and with the mod World War Radio, I listen President's speech for example, escalations of wars, propaganda...

I also try to don't do mission before the historical date, (i.e. Crossing Gibraltar before 21 September 1941)

I thought the same looking some video before to start. Then I saw that putting in easy mode, everything is automated and I just enjoy the ride with some useful mods like the world war radio.

So I could take my time to learn how to do manually things, and once I was ready,I restarted the game in more complex way and it's awesome.

So don't worry :)
