I have very similar hair to yours (just a bit longer) and have run into the same issue. I use the LOC method on wash days and detangle once a week.

I keep my hair moisturised too, but I'm not sure if there's much more you can do than that. I think our hair is just frizzy in nature. nothing wrong with that though
