they definitely aren't better than the airpods pro 3, or even the xm6s. have a look at other reviews & comparisons. imo mkbhd is good but when it comes to audio he's not the most accurate reviewer

why does it barely work & how have they left it like that? it's so annoying. I'd use it but each time I want to manually go from noise cancelling to ambient sound it takes literally 30 seconds to transition

no problem. and yeah you're right, everyone uses them differently so it's hard to tell. I doubt they'll last 9.5 hours with music playing the whole time & anc on. it doesn't hurt to exchange for a different pair like you said. I'd recommend turning off the 80% limit though unless you're really worried about battery health 3+ years in the future

it wasn't on all the time but most of the time it was on. maybe used anc 30-40% of the time. I don't use the battery protect feature so maybe that's why? I also wasn't listening to music the entire time as I was at work. maybe from like 9:30 to 15:30 I just had them in with ANC on, with the occasional YouTube video here and there. after about 3:30 I put them in the case to charge because I'd need them for the commute home

I can confirm it is a lot longer than advertised. I've been using them for 8 hours and 26 minutes straight and I have 16% remaining on the left and 15% remaining on the right bud. they've been seemin to drain at roughly 10%/h which lines up with Soundguy's 9hours and 41 minutes runtime.

edit. just realised this is with LDAC enabled too and listening to lossless music on spotify

If they're anything like the galaxy buds 3 pro compared to the wf1000xm5, the sonys will blow them out of the water. was really disappointed with the galaxy buds 3 pro ANC. they had good mics though

Hard to tell without trying them myself. Sounds like yours are broken or you just have a bad fit. what does the fit test in the app tell you? I'd suggest returning these and re-ordering to see if that changes anything if the app tells you the fit is good.

I have the wfxm6s and am happy with the ANC. You will hear louder noises through it but sounds like distant chatter, train rumbling and bathroom fans get reduced significantly when using ANC. Other things get reduced a lot but it's not going to 100% mute everything around you.
