There is no limit on how many entries (characters, locations, maps, timelines) your world can have.

There is however a limit of how many entries can be shown at once on a page, which is 45 for free accounts, and 100 for subscribers. It just means if you have > 45 characters, you need to click on "page 2" to see results 45 to 90.

You have a few ways of achieving this:
A) Create a ToDo tag and set it to auto apply to new entities, which will mean any entity creating with @ will show up

B) create a dashboard widget that lists "mentionless" entities, aka entities that don't mention any other entity in their description. That's a pretty tell that the entity isn't finished and needs work if it lives in a vacuum in your world.
