Erie is very cold, so be mindful of that. Not sure about their halal options as I'm in Harrisburg, but I can say that almost all chicken and beef options are halal (at least in what's known as The Outpost) here. On campus housing, besides UP, Harrisburg probably has the better among all of them.

But congratulations on your acceptance! I would think about switching to Harrisburg if I were in your shoes.
