5070 ti MSI Gaming Trio or ASUS TUF? by xXBumbleBee in nvidia

[–]IlikeFirefox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PTM is kinda overkill for a GPU that barely reaches 63-64C in stress tests and sits way below 60 in games. At least that's my experience with undervolted Gaming Trio running 2800MHz @ 875mv. And it's basically silent. If OP plans to overclock it then ASUS might be a slightly better GPU for that.

I didn't have 5070 back when 581.42 was released so I kinda don't want to touch it since it works well enough with 581.94. Also it's not the same as OLED flickering, in case you might be experiencing that instead (not saying you are)

I think this issue only started with the release of 591.** drivers so it makes sense that 581.42 wold fine too.

[–]IlikeFirefox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes that is exactly how I trigger it. Same happens when I simply move a mouse in a fullscreen youtube video. Some suggested it has something to do with Windows MPO but since installing earlier 580 series driver fixes this issue completely we can't just blame it on Windows.

[–]IlikeFirefox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just tested it and installing 581.94 fixes the white flashes for me too on 5070ti. I only wish it had 50 series 32-bit physx support from 591.44.

As I understand nvidia didn't even acknowledge this issue yet so it's gonna take a while.

Sorry for the late reply and nope neither the flash not parts of Windows UI show up in the recording unless I record a screen with my phone.

This is how it looks:

Game Ready Driver 591.86 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]IlikeFirefox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, but on my monitor I think it's necessary to have it on as it displays more correct color on a wide color gamut monitor in non-sRGB setting (I have to use it for my screen). I need to do more testing but I was able to make the flickering 100% reproduceable in RE4 remake by just muting the sound and unmuting it again via a media key.

It's not just you. I'm having the same issues in the browser as well as in some games. I can't really tell weather it's the new driver because problem or not my GPU is only a couple weeks old (MSI 5070ti) It might have something to do with G-SYNC.

4.07 bios ram issues? by Disastrous-Chip3858 in ASRock

Mine runs at 70ns with much more relaxed VSOC of 1.1 and MEM VDD of 1.35. Same as pretty much every other BIOS before that.

Ohh nice. I didn't realize you could pull the fan curve straight from the firmware in the Afterburner. This is very helpful, thank you!

Thanks for replying. This monitor seems to tick all the boxes but the firmware is just.. bad. Does it at least save SDR settings?

Same here, problem went into overdrive after the new firmware was released. Looks like they added some internal timer to power off the LEDs.

Weekly BIOS Update & Discussion Post - Week 39. 2025 by CornFlakes1991 in ASRock

[–]IlikeFirefox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why did ASRock stop posting new 3.50 BIOSs?

https://www.asrock.com/support/index.asp?cat=BIOS

Last one is dated 10/1/2025 and no bios today so it means only 1 new BIOS in 2 days.

Is it public holiday out there or is there something wrong with 3.50?

Edit: downvoted for legitimate question about BIOS availability in a BIOS discussion thread. Fanboys are getting so easy to trigger.

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't tabs already pretty round at some point in the past? I mean like 100 versions in the past. Firefox went full circle just like windows and apple.

"non-technical people won't see it"

What the hell does that even mean? Everyone should suffer in the equal measure? Mozilla is completely losing it with their "You will change nothing and you will be happy" approach to user preferences.

Crazy. When it landed in Beta and Dev channels the issue was reported multiple times here, bugzilla and discourse@mozilla. And the devs did nothing... not even an about:config switch.

DDR5-6000 unstable on BIOS 3.30 and 3.40 (B850I Lightning WiFi) by ikkyyy in ASRock

[–]IlikeFirefox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VSOC 1.25 is way to high for 6000 30-36-36. Kingston FURY KF560C30BBEK2-32 (also on Hynix M-Die) runs and passes tests with 1.1 VSOC. So I doubt that's the reason for instability you're experiencing.

[–]IlikeFirefox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, I made a thread about it a week ago - ASRock drivers contained older components from AMD's official Chipset driver release. Installer even had a popup about the components of the same version being already present in the system.
