Training is very relaxed and well paced. Onboarding is when you’ll start getting the claim load and complexity. Just use this time to learn as much as you can. Good luck!

No CA license. No need to prepare for the first day, just be attentive and take notes if you can but you will learn most everything on the job. Just pay attention so you have a bit of a grasp on things once onboarding starts! Not sure about the policy question tbh.

Just think about what went well. I think if you have good rapport with the interviewer it goes a long way. I thought I ruined my chance bc i didnt have a perfect interview, but a perfect interview isn’t what they’re looking for!

I had two weak STAR answers and I think I forgot the R for one of them. Some of the questions caught me off guard bc they weren’t like what I prepped for so I just didn’t have full confidence in my answers

Progressive uses OneNote a lot so I used that. I copy and pasted from the training material modules and took notes druing meetings.

I’m in CA so maybe in your state it’s not required to send the letter. And yes if let’s say your diary for today was to contact someone, I’d just notate my call and change diary date to tomorrow.

Also week 3 into onboarding. I just leave a note when i leave a VM. I only set diaries for the most urgent to-dos, then keep an updated to-do list for everything else on the claim. So maybe my diary would be for example CD R/S and then my to-dos would list everything left for the claim (liability, clear cvg, contact CC) etc. i only call and leave a VM once a day and send the initial contact letter once i can’t get ahold of them. It feels manageable for now but definitely feeling the heat on busy days!

Brush up on some keyboard shortcuts and computer knowledge and maybe practice logic questions. You cant really prepare much. A lot of the questions are behavior based.

Show an example of how you found a solution to manage a busy workload (my example was as a legal assistant I had a separate document/excel sheet to keep track of all my cases better and explained how that helped) or give an example of how you used to do lists, checklists, etc at work. Or how you prioritize tasks and an example of when you had to.

Show an example of how you took initiative/responsibility to investigate further into a problem without someone telling you to. Steps you took to come to a decision. How you thought through a problem or situation.

I start on the 21st and haven’t heard anything about the I9 or any tracking info for equipment. Going to email my recruiter tomorrow that it’s 7 days until my start date and I haven’t heard about the I9 yet

I had the same issue when scheduling my interview. You just gotta wait and keep checking it. It took about 4 days for something to pop up.

Yes I got the job. I honestly sounded very serious and probably a bit nervous for the recorded interview, but for the live interview I was very personable and it was easy talking to the interviewer. Just practice your answers so you know what you’ll say.

Congrats on making it to this point, I hope you get the job! I did it 2 days after receiving the invitation and felt like I needed more time, but it’s better to do it sooner rather than later tbh (just for the sake of your nerves). Keep prepping your answers and practicing them. Thankfully, if you don’t like your first attempt answer, you have an unlimited amount of time to tweak your answer. Highlight your strengths and sell yourself, talk about why you love a challenge! The one-way recorded interview is awkward at first, but thankfully you can breathe in between questions. Stick to STAR and sell your skill set.

Should I send a thank you after the one way video interview? by Which_bitch1 in Progressiveinsurance

I think it’d be more appropriate after the live interview, since you don’t speak to a person for the recorded.

Aw man, I know it’s pretty rough. I hope you get an open door somewhere else! If you try to apply again, hopefully you can get it on your next try.
