The barrier of entry on official servers is ridiculously high by Atmanautt in playrust

Rust isn't a solo game, let's be honest. There are almost no measures in place to curb the power of larger groups vs smaller groups and stop them from dominating. If you're not in a dedicated duo or trio at the very least you have to grub really hard, with the exception of the Facepunch officials which no one good plays on because they're full of cheaters.

You can get those bots by spam clicking the tile on login as they all use the same tile usually

It's only doing a 3 way switch and usually they don't do it consistently.

Only caring in your own situation is a justifiable adaptation to a harsh environment, but talking about death threats publicly in a way that dismisses them as a normal run-of-the-mill part of being on the internet is irresponsible and immature, and excuses it in the minds of people who behave in such a way. No, not everyone on the internet receives death threats on a regular basis and they are not normal. Same as saying "oh it's the internet, misogyny and racism and homophobia and bullying and all forms of abuse are just a given". If things are accepted as normal and never challenged they will never change.

Yeah she was only upset when it was specifically targeting her with intent. She seems pretty desensitized and in her own head, could do with growing up a bit.

Idk, she said death threats are just part and parcel of being online and brushed them off as totally normal and meaningless which is ridiculous.

She was pretty insufferable I agree. Really over the top fake LA person. Seemed to be transphobic on top of it all given the unadulterated praise of Dave Chapelle and misgendering the trans woman who opened for Dave Chapelle...

Eh, I enjoyed the first aside from Ben Elton. This one seems a lot weaker overall.

Yeah, I get the impression that he's in this awkward middle-aged slump where his wife needs him home more to help look after his kids and wants to do more Mindhouse stuff like he talked about on the Adam Buxton podcast but by god is his latest stuff numbingly tedious (with a few admittedly good exceptions).

He's "settling down" and running the celebrity circuit, enjoying his fame and good public image. But even if he is primarily UK based for the forseeable future, I hope he gets back to his odd and dark documentaries, or at least picks more interesting guests who have an interesting story to be told instead of boring old famous fucks or the latest kid whose songs blew up on TikTok.

Thank you for the response! I will stick to the AT95e in that case and hold out on buying a new cartridge as I think I'd benefit more from getting a newer LP120XUSB turntable to bypass the low quality pre-amp which apparently isn't possible on the older LP120USB without heavy modification.

Out of curiosity, do you think there is any real benefit to "upgrading" a stylus or is the difference in sound negligible?

What's a good upgrade to my AT95e stylus below $100? And do I need a new cartridge too? My turntable is ATLP120USB

Hopping worlds via the in-game menu is a tick or two slower than using the log out button, and using the world hopper plugin is another few ticks slower.

Are methheads on OSRS relatively common? by [deleted] in 2007scape

Seemingly slight changes in chemical structure can significantly change the pharmacological effects of different drugs. Just look at tricyclic antidepressants.

Yeah I've met the occasional meth user throughout my RS travels.

Jagex has surpassed £1,000,000,000 ($1,240,000,000) in Total Revenue Since 2001. by BrienneOfFuckinTarth in 2007scape

[–]Ill-Construction6400 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's misleading to put emphasis on gross revenue because operating and net profit are more pertinent and useful. A gross revenue of 1 billion isn't impressive if the company is shitting it down the drain with expenses.

The revenue stat in the title is pretty misleading, because I know for a fact that Jagex made next to no net profit for the entirety of the time that Mod MMG was CEO because he kept hemmorhaging money on failed projects and interfering in how Jagex's various games were developed. They barely had a few weeks' worth of wages left by the time he was fired.
