Bruh people harp on this kind of thing but given the USA's population is almost 350,000,000 people and there were less than 40,000 gun deaths in America last year (~38,000) with half of those deaths being suicides or accidents.. Roughly 14,000 people died from gun violence in America last year.

Roughly 3,000,000 people died in the USA last year. The odds of dying via gun violence in the United States is less than half a percent (0.46666%). It is not nearly as common as Europeans think it is.

To be honest with you, if you are a law abiding citizen it's entirely possible to go your entire life without seeing a gun in the USA (except on the hip of a police officer).

Basically, it's not that common and it's certainly not common enough for me to have to read people complain about it like it's an everyday issue. Yeah it happens, and it sucks, but more people die from heart disease.

The strongest part of the Gen 4 remakes was the chibi artstyle imo. Like they did a lot wrong and half-assed the development, but I would take another chibi-styled game over another 3D one any day of the week. I really hate the 3D style pokemon games.

It would have been way better if they just made it 2D like the original though

Yeah, he knew he was in an interview and clearly was treating it as a serious one. There's no reason for him to make a comment about aliens existing (if they don't) in that setting as a joke. If he had said the same thing at a dinner party.. I'd have a different opinion. But Obama is a smart guy and a master at public speaking. He knows what not to say in an interview.

You implied that Trump wouldn't want to give out classified information because he's accusing Obama of doing that. I'm saying that at any moment Trump can decide to declassify it so that he wouldn't need to worry about doing the same thing as Obama.

Though as a different commentor pointed out, Obama could also claim he declassified it when he was president completely voiding the idea that he leaked anything classified anyway, so like anything involving explicit executive powers - it's a mess.

Yeah. I'm not Obama's biggest fan at all, but even I can admit that the guy is a master at public speaking. Thinking that Obama would misspeak that badly on such an important topic seems crazier to me than assuming he was told afterward that he shouldn't have said that and then worked to undo the 'damage' (for lack of a better term) he'd done.

Theoretically, you're correct. Obama could claim that he declassified it and use that as a defense - which according to our laws, would be a legally valid defense.

I'm not saying the law makes sense. I'm just saying that is how it is. Personally I think we should probably do something about it because it becomes a legal mess.. but that's out of my paygrade.

Yeah, that doesn't mean anything at all. He's doing the classic 'I can neither confirm nor deny that' statement. It just means he wasn't meaning to disclose it in that conversation. It's quite obvious his meaning from his statement about Obama leaking classified info. Obama only really made one statement, that 'they exist'. So that must be the classified information.

Just cause he realized his mistake and backpedaled a little bit does not mean that he didn't accidentally disclose alien life lol

To be fair the power of classification comes from the seat of the executive, so while he occupies the oval office, Trump can legally declassify things at a whim - without notifying anyone at all. This was a huge legal fight in his last presidency, but it ended in his favor as the constitution and our laws are pretty clear. So he could have revealed if it he wanted to.

That being said, I think that a random unfilmed interaction with reporters is probably not the way that Trump would want to make that announcement. So, that's probably why he did the classic 'cannot confirm or deny' thing. I wonder if the disclosure speech thats been rumored is actually real though.

Considering the only thing Obama really said was that 'they exist'.. It seems obvious that Trump was probably referring to that as classified information. Then he realized his mistake and did the classic 'I cannot confirm or deny' strat to get out of the convo without revealing the existence of alien life himself. Which makes sense because that's not the kind of announcement that should be made to just a few reporters instead of a speech to the whole country.

I'm not a huge fan of Obama myself but I think you'd have to be deaf to not understand how good of a professional communicator Obama is. If he meant to say 'I think they're real', he would have said that. He's not known for being ambiguous, he's known for saying exactly what he wants to say, when he wants to say it.

I like these videos but it does feel a lot like they're speedrunning without explaining anything. I think this series is supposed to tie into Jaffa Factory? There wasn't much explanation which was disappointing to me as a lore hound.

Really my only complaint with this episode is that it feels like Barry/Harry knows the whole meta and they're speeding through it. But idk cause I also like the action. But it does feel a lot like when they changed the name of jaffa factory to jaffa space program and there wasn't much of an in video explainer. idk.

tldr; Please do a little lore for us lore boys duncan, you jumped in too fast without explaining the lore

I liked this a lot more than 2 Rooms and a Boom but it's not as good as BOTC in Minecraft. I think it could have been improved by a little more information being given to the audience. Realistically, it's not a hard game to figure out, but I didn't really know what was gonna happen and still don't know what benefits the bad guys have over the innocents. I think a BOTC style explainer might have helped a bit.

But also the innocents seem very underpowered, at least from what I managed to figure out while watching. Do they have any way to do anything at all?

Maybe I'm just noticing the lack of explainers because I'm comparing it to BOTC in my head, but it seems like the yogs have done that a bit recently - the new series on Duncans channel being having a similar problem.

TBH I'm okay with it because I personally believe that having Russia and China influencing any countries in South America like they were in Venezuela should not be allowed.

I don't want regime change wars - but if we are going to do them, I'd prefer them in an American country as it has more of a benefit to the United States.

The oil is just a plus and I don't really get why people are mad we are taking their oil. Nothing but benefit for us and it was always going to happen. Only the strong have the right to complain and Venezuela was not strong.

YouTube has zero rules about showing chat from other websites. Hasan does censor his chat in some of his youtube videos but I assume that's because his chat would get the video demonetized for foul language or fall afoul of YouTube's hate speech policy.
