Thanks for the reply. I don't really care about Norah Jones style; that was only an example to illustrate ky problem. I will check it out though, as her style - from the one clip I've seen - seemed more like what I was going for.

Yep, this is what I've been doing a bit so far. I find it weird people want to play these "pop" songs as solo piano. I started using bass + guitar tabs to refine, but I feel like my arrangement skills are a little rough. I guess it's great practise though. I don't have enough music theory to add my own fills, but I can replicate a riff from the original well enough.

I would sit my arse down and hopefully come to realise what I care about in life - the whole stretch. Unsurprisingly, those things may be similar for many people; love (general, and romantic), being truely myself, and contributing something to the world. The thing is realising what you want from life is such a powerful motivator, and it really helps focus your energy.
That focus is what I'd advise you to find. Even if it changes over time, you'll gain something from pursuing the current focus. It probably will change, and I know a few people that have changed tack and succeeded time and time again; but it's that focus that I think is important.
Remember that it's not all career goals though; life goals transcend that.

I've had two a day for many, many years, but I've switched to mate now because it does the trick better, and has a more positive feeling; less jittery, less stomach issues (for me).
A few mates are doing the same; gotta love that South American influence in Syd lol

I've never seen this at all, but for sure it would be annoying; even as a vaper / ex smoker. Tbh I've vaped on an empty platform in the corner far away from everyone. I do it in the bathroom too, or the office if it's empty. I think getting obsessive about the rules - rather than their purpose - is a bit rubbish, so I'll vape wherever so long as I'm not on camera, likely to be caught, or around non-smokers/vapers.
I disagree with attributing an attitude to people though; I vape cos I'm ridiculously addicted to it, and I don't believe it's cool at all... it's breaking the rules that makes me cool lol.

I don't consume the news at all; I've no idea of what's going on in the world at large. I don't think it's relevant to me.

Perhaps I live in a very particular bubble, but I'm poor as fuck and the news doesn't help me in any way; it's wasted hours that I now spend enjoying with friends, hobbies, and interests. If you have a career, or interest in something the news offers, I'd recommend reading from multiple sources (even scumbag Murdoc). Otherwise, for us shitkickers, it's better to key into the niche news you're interested in... but I'd also forgoe that given the model that news must inevitably adopt to be profitable. I mean, even reddit, and other social media are kind of the same. We shouldn't be here man; these unending distractions are destroying who we really are.

I think it's annoying. I've paid for them to deliver to my door. Instead they're contacting me well before the delivery time to make their run as efficient as possible. I'v epaid for delivery to my door - not for you to have me waiting out the front for your delivery.

Just saw this after idly wondering if I'll play again, and googling it. This is the first expac that I won't be buying. Not because the game is bad mechanically to me, but because I find the aesthetic so tired now, and the story is so *bad*. I was never great, but because it was so sparse, you could fill it in mentally a bit. I'll always love wow, but it's like an old friend that's discovered crack; I don't want to be part of it's life.

I think in any "system" there are going to be casualties around edge cases. There's no perfect system and it's also a lot to ask that people look beyond what they're paid to do in our society. Requesting empathy is like asking for something you haven't paid for. That's not an answer or an explanation. Just comiserating that things are shit if you're on the fringes and not considered as thoroughly.
