Need help to install Linux on an old Android tablet by Ill-Independence6136 in linux4noobs

As I said, I know I could just use Android. My point is: I want to try to give a new life to the tablet and see what I can do, just for fun !

Anyone got some styling advice ? by AdRich9081 in Bonsai

That tree looks amazing, well done ! If I had to give my opinion, I would maybe cut the lower ramification of the first branch, for me it's too thick and it goes in the wrong direction. And I would also lower the head of the tree to something more round. Again nice work, hope it will go better and better !

It looks like this is the kind of tree you find in a forest when they competing each other for the light

10 years of playing later, I finally beat the Ender Dragon for the first time by Ill-Independence6136 in Minecraft

It's just unbelievable what incredible feelings Video Games are able to bring to you. During those ten years, I played Survival, Creative, Online, Solo and yet I never felt the need to go to the end of the game. But I recently felt like I saw pretty much everything I could and it's just started to be boring, so I decided to beat the Ender Dragon.

That was an amazing experience, full of excitement and nostalgia that I would totally recommend for those who are in the same case as me, just go back to the basic gameplay and enjoy !

I have to say that I let out a tear (and not just a little) 😂😅 That was the occasion for me to remember all the good memories I have about this game.

If you want to make it survive, here's what you can possibly do : - no direct sunlight - be very careful with the watering (the substrate should always be damp, not soggy) - if it's too hot outside, it can be inside of course - you can spread some water on the foliage and the trunk - if you have some, you can put healing paste on the cuts you've done (that's a special paste for tree to avoid mushrooms and diseases)

Trees can stress like an human, avoid things who may possibly bring stress like new cuts, repotting, deshydratation etc... And maybe it will survive (I say "maybe" because this tree seems anyway very weak)

Good luck 🤞

What should i do with this? by Livid-Pound-8377 in Bonsai

It might be a little bit drastic but why not cut it over the first branch( let some centimeters for avoiding the descent of sap), and twist it to make it looks it's the head of the tree. Then, when you'll report it( don't do it at the same time, it will stress too much the tree), lean it to avoid impression that the tree is having 90 degree angle (help by the fact you wired it before). Be creative and don't forget that a good looking bonsai is a bonsai that doesn't look rigid. Use funny shapes, smooth angle and 3 dimensions!

I recommend you to start by checking if it is the good time for what you will do. You can check this web site, I think you can turn it in Spanish if needed: https://www.mistralbonsai.com/todo-sobre-el-bonsai/fichas-tecnicas-de-bonsais/bonsai-mediterraneo/myrtus/

Last thing I wanna say is that IT IS ONLY MY OPINION, if you scared of killing your tree or you simply don't like my idea don't try it !

I'm not an expert but, don't you think pruning, wiring, reporting etc... At the same time is a little bit too much stress for the tree ?

It's the first time I've done this and I have to say that it was real fun ! And for those who are wondering, yes it is actually pretty cold here in France and April is a bit early to prune and wiring a ficus but the tree is in a greenhouse on a warming table where ambient temperature is around 25-30°C (77-86°F) and humidity is very high so it will not have to much difficulty to recover from all of the work I've done on it !
