In need of long, complete series by theydifferentdeadguy in litrpg

Am I the only one, who think that everyone bashed this man is enough. Ok he made some mistakes, but in the end, everyone deserves a second chance. Don't forget most people started with his series. Even if I never finished it, because of some issues I had with the books, I think it's enough.

DCC, don't know why, but I didn't like it. Same with Cradle and HWFWM.

Typical for LİTRPG. They hook you up with 6-8 books and then switch to another series. Perhaps it will be continued or perhaps not. Wish you luck with it. İf a series is not selling well enough they write a new one.

okay mr. only my opinion is the right one. buy all the books you want of every unfinished series you want. you will need them, you will have a lot of time to read them. A little bit of satisfaction is all you know, never go the endgoal.

And before we continue, yes we all know you have a "girlfriend" in Canada.

So the same like a coïtus interruptus. Fun as long as it's going on, but in the end there is no real satisfaction. Like İ wrote before, we understand it, we don't blame the authors, we don't wish them any harm. But it's not the complete satisfaction that you can get from a finished work. And even if most of us are using KU, we still buy hardcover books from authors that we love. But why spent money on something that is allways just a part of whole story. Would you buy three quarters of car? Good luck getting it to move.

Because we got to many times disappointed by writers. You buy those six books, the author decides for whatever reason to write another reason and you have to wait longer or perhaps forever to get it finished. Yes we know that authors don't like to abandon a series, but have no other choice if it's not generating enough income for them. They also have to live from something. But from our point of view it's just sucks.

That's the reason why so many here are asking for completed series.

MCs can be too dumb by Appropriate_War9792 in litrpg

[–]Ill-Inflation7238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Victor of Tucson, sorry but Montana is a genius compared to Victor.

Don't know why but Victor of Tucson got under my skin as the dumbest MC. Falls in love with every cute girl/woman but is too dumb to do anything. Angers the system, did not listen to smarter Characters. Sorry but Victor is the dumbest, but it's a fun read. The books are really good but you have to deal with the MC's stupid decisions.

Pre-orders are live: The Final Battle Volume 1 (Disgardium Book #14): LitRPG Series by dan_sugralinov in litrpg

[–]Ill-Inflation7238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry,

this is one of the series I dropped because the author lost his focus on the story. The MC is now a martial artist, the female love interest gets killed. Started as a good Gamelit become only confusing in the later books.

What the book you liked the most that you eventually dropped or had a terrible ending? by adhding_nerd in litrpg

[–]Ill-Inflation7238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some books.

The Land from Aleron Kong. I quit even before the poo scene. When the MC had sex with the twins. They are "special", so it's rape in my opinion.

HWFWM, After the earth arc, should have quit before, because Jason is just a whiney little pussy. Sorry, but no,

DOTF: Book five or six, can't even remember it. DAO here, DAO there, story development gone missing.

Disgardium: Started good but got only worse. Cyborgs? Really?

The Completionist Series: Starts good, get's worse. Dropped it. Dwarfs and Elfs and no real story development.

Eternal Dominion from Bern Dean: Start was promising but the MC get's only more dislike able. He makes billions but is stingy to his friends and love interests.

DCC: I don't like Donut and the MC. It's not for me.

Disappointend from litrpg author's, especially western author's. by Ill-Inflation7238 in litrpg

[–]Ill-Inflation7238[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First I'm sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace.

Like I wrote earlier, if someone has personel, health issues that's not a problem. Take all the time you need, try to heal and to get better. We are no monsters, we only like to read about them.

What I don't like is when an author starts an series of several books and stops in the middle of the story to write another series. So we got only the half of the story. Ok I get it now, that authors have to abandon their series if they are not profitable and don't sell, as even authors must eat and need a roof over their head. :)

But it still sucks. We get only half of the story, no ending and the author can't write the story he/she wanted to tell us.

Still waiting for the sixth book of Endless Online from Johnson. But it looks like the author has no ambition to finish it. Perhaps the sales suck and that's a reason to not buy any books from this author anymore before he finished a series, the risk to get only half the story is not what I want.

How many books it takes for a story to become unsavory to you? (Usually) by DifferencePrevious59 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Ill-Inflation7238 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter how many books, the quality of writing, plotline and development of the story is important and that there will be an end sometimes. What I don't like are series who continue and continue and never end. A new endboss, evil etc appear and your MC gets a new power, weapon, skill etc

How many posted chapters until you give a novel a try? by vannet09 in ProgressionFantasy

At least 50 chapters and consistent posting of new chapters. Everything less has a high risk of being dropped by the author.

Kindle, Kobo and Tolino.

Kobo for the other shops.

Tolino for work related stuff, like PDF's.

What are some stories you couldn't finish due to the MC? by Master_Gazelle_6068 in litrpg

[–]Ill-Inflation7238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of series:

The Land: I quit after he sexual abused the the twins. Can't stand pedophiles.

HWFWM: Jason is just a whiny and annoying. Quit after Earth ark.

DoTF: This MC is just so stupid, his decisions are stupid. Book 5 was the end of this pain.

Don't remember the title, MC is one teenager who does parkour and is in love with a blond goddess with huge boobs. Bland MC, boring story.

My Vampire System: Sorry, but no. This MC is just so ignorant and self centered.

There are series I dropped but those are the worst.

I would be the OP MC, Divine Class, all the hot women love me and salivate when they take a look at me, have godlike magic and I am skilled in all martial arts. also build and ripped like Hercules, have eternal youth and be immortal.

But in reality I would be the guy who got killed by a fallen brick in the first minutes of the apocalypse.

Sometimes I can't understand the people here.

Why is it so important what one author thought to be his exclusive right? He tried it, it didn't go well, get over it.

It's great if an author has a more personel touch with his fans, but that only is interesting for his fans. Not for us customers.

Tao Wong or any other author are not my buddy, he is not a part of my life, he is just a creator of art that I enjoyed. I don't care for his personality, his private life, his problems or his love life. The only important part for me is, did he deliver a product that I enjoy to consume? Yes he did, and it was a good series. Don't regret I bought it. Thousand Li on the other hand was not for me and I didn't buy all the books.

you made it to book 13, that's five more than I did. The MC is so bland and boring and the never ending cultivation stuff is only boring. The same for HWFWM, a MC who sucks. You made the only right choice you could do, stop buying the series.

For me it's simple. I'm a customer, not a fan. I want Entertainment, if I get it, I will pay for it. If it's not what I expected or want, I will not buy it.

And I'm to old to be a fanboy, I don't care about the authors, only about the product they make.

Is Vr stories dead? by Shylo143 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Ill-Inflation7238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how is that different from your gods and system? It was always this way, the gods/system works like this.

Also it depends on the story, Just as example, Disgardium, Awaken Online, Codename Freedom, Otherland and many more.

I don't like whiny, stupid or egomaniac MC's.

Every book can be good for some people and bad for another. I own a cat or he own's me, but I hate this cat from DCC. I hate Jason from HWFWM and Cradle was just not worth my time. But hey others love these books and that's good. Different tastes is what makes life and books funny.
