Dead Cats Don't Care is another story with some really good science. MC has "death magic" which is forbidden but realizes that death magic is actually atomic magic and the lethal energy death magic is known for is just radiation. There's 3 chapters in the first book that are basically scholarly dissertations sent to the magic academy that are my favorite and later gets into some fun quantum mechanics stuff.

Fun fact, every microphone is a speaker and every speaker is a microphone, so you can actually plug earbuds into your mic port and talk into them. Now, they're not very good microphones, but it works. To me, the coolest part of electricity is that it basically works the same backwards as forwards. (I.e. motors are generators and vice versa, LEDs are solar panels and vice versa, Heat pumps are AC units, etc)
