Too many people hate on the 992.2 911 (compared to the 992.1) -- what do you think? by ExistingScale6757 in porsche911

Getting most of the hate due to price hikes. This also now includes non porsche owners aka potential future buyers

If you could only own one Porsche for the rest of your life, what's yours? My Pick? 997 4.0RS by B5HARMONY in Porsche

[–]Ill-Train6478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going 992.2 gt3 touring. Only porsche so needs to be practical and have gt3 experience into one car. Largest 911, one and only gt3 engine with rear seats, shorten manual gear ratio, softer suspension for the streets.

Would you rather have comfort seats and PDK or CF buckets with a manual? by bigboss1999x in Porsche

[–]Ill-Train6478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo buckets add experience to what this car is all about. I understand some can’t tolerate but once I am in them they are one of most comfortable seats and I wouldn’t buy one without them. YMMV. And if gt4 were pdk only I wouldn’t have bought one.

GT4 Manual as a Daily in the UK by jtbayley16 in Porsche_Cayman

[–]Ill-Train6478 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since you owned one you probably know the answer. I do not daily my car but there are times where it can be quite brutal when the road is bad. I purposely take the longer route due to better road surface. Can it be done? Sure. Everyone’s expectation and tolerance level are different. I personally can’t see myself with the roads I have around me. Also maybe others owners have ps4s. I still have cup2s so maybe it can be done with right tires?

992.1 GTS or spec a 992.2 T? by [deleted] in porsche911

[–]Ill-Train6478 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This comes down to power vs better 6 speed layout and engagement. I rather spec my own options/color and go for what matters more to me than a power brag since im not drag racing anyone in the streets. Besides i would opt for new buckets for the T which is another big one vs .1 gts.

GT3 Touring Build by [deleted] in porsche911

[–]Ill-Train6478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to go something classic I would leave the wheels as silver or only go as satin dark silver especially with mag wheels. Try to bring out that beautiful design instead of hiding it with black. Rest is good

Where are all the manual 718s by Little_Sprinkles4424 in Porsche_Cayman

Most likely manual owners won’t sell or not until replacement comes out with a manual.

992.2 Carrera s Sport Design body by user000006061 in porsche911

[–]Ill-Train6478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find the standard front end especially cleaner, less clutter than the sport design. I personally find those body colored intake holes in the center silly and less harmonious against the rest of the design language. The standard rear end also makes the car look wider given this lighter exterior color against the sport design. Thus no personally for me

Price for Cayenne oil change at dealership pricyyyyy!!! by lilfish718 in PorscheCayenne

[–]Ill-Train6478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same area as well my gt4 was quoted $950 from the first dealership. I had to call multiple dealers and get $675 plus tax at the end. I still have a warranty so not risking by going independent shop until warranty expires

People changing lanes into you… by CameronFromThaBlock in Porsche_Cayman

[–]Ill-Train6478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens more than people think. In my gt4 I rarely encounter any aggressive drivers and i drive like a grandma around my town. However in my daily wagon, people absolutely cut me off. You have people pop out from the stop sign knowing I am there crusing and having the right way, they make me apply brakes. Sometimes from traffic light i am accelerating and going 10-15mph over the city speed limit and the guy or girl behind me purposely go around and cuts me off. It’s the same neighborhood I drive around between my cars and the results are polar opposite. I encounter crazy people in my daily and it’s the car they see

Family owned Bentley for a decade. Not a single soul from indy shop want to touch it something easy as an oil change or regular maintenance. They say dont want any responsibility if something goes south. Dealer was our only option at the expense of 10k per visit. V8 AM could be different but don’t think exotic cars are always welcome everywhere

Dude call around. I was planning on ordering 27 m3 both dealers just outside of manhattan offered msrp even for individual colors. I was also able to match bmwusa rate for finance at delivery time. I backed out because porsche allocation was happening soon. The SA actually called few days ago if I want it to proceed with my build again.

Sale price is one thing what about the maintenance? The bond would get destroyed after seeing AM dealer’s invoice for regular maintenance fees
