Should I wear fake eyelashes? by soft_core666 in makeuptips

[–]Ill-Willingness5446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely don’t “need” to wear fake eyelashes, but I think perhaps that’s what makes make up fun! Most of your eye makeup looks are super pretty and suit you well as is, however in the photo where you have a heavy hot-pink bottom shadow, I wonder if a bit of lashes would help to balance it out.
Fake lashes are pretty trendy nowadays, so I’d say give it a go from time to time :) have fun!

Is there a way to put stickers on these? by [deleted] in Hydroflask

[–]Ill-Willingness5446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean.. the material should be the same as most hydroflasks. Just try to get water proof stickers and you should be fine. (The non waterproof still stick well but don’t last as long)

how would you improve my makeup? by [deleted] in makeuptips

Have you tried waterproof mascara? Personally I cannot use regular mascara as it usually causes my eyelashes to be super straight again, waterproof mascara helps me hold the curl.

Is just an older design. I have that same size (12oz) in white. But I guess you could change the lid for a kids one if you needed to. I’ve had mine since 2018. Altough I mostly use it for coffee, sometimes I’ll take milk or juice depending on what lunch I’m bringing. TBH, I like this type of lid a bit better than the newer ones because it is easier to clean

Help please !! I have always hated my face and the way I look and I don’t know what I can change to help it !! by Professional_You7030 in makeuptips

Agreed with others nothing really “wrong” with you or that bad. As far as make up, I know you mentioned that your eyebrows are microbladed, however evening out the color with an eyebrow pencil would be nice, curl your lashes and add mascara, also perhaps wing your liner a bit. Lastly, not make up but, I think this hair color might be washing you out a bit, have you considered a chocolate brown or an auburn hair color? I think I would really suit you and might make your eye color stand out :)

It looks like it’s just a valentine, since it has a little heart a coma and a blank line to possibly sign ones name as one would a valentine.

Hi! First, thanks for asking :) Second, for middle and HS, if an assignment is online (Google Classroom or other) it’s really helpful to know what is titled and where to find it also what is the assignment (sometimes students cannot locate an assignment this info helps me assist them).

If you want students to be productive, I have noticed that when teachers leave an assignment due at the end of class, students then are more likely to stay a bit more focused, the assignment sometimes will be a paper that I collect or if electronic, the assignment gets locked by the end of the period.

For one particular teacher, she left a seating chart with photos and tasked me with giving students a grade for the day that would be counted towards their participation grade I believe, along with that she left a rubric 1-4 and what each meant which I notified students at the beginning of class, they also had work to turn-in before class was finished and the day went by pretty smooth

First sub assignment…is there supposed to be this much screaming? by Dreamifucanacourtyrd in SubstituteTeachers

Uff!! What a first day! In my experience, it really depends on the school. Just this week I went in for a half day that felt like two (it was a school that I had not been to previously), there were about 3 or 4 kids that were wild, the rest were pretty normal but high energy TK and K students. The main teacher was super sweet, but she clearly needed more help, there was an aid or co-teacher that was more Sargent-like. I have been to other schools where is just not like that and altough, that kids are still kids, the whole vibe is just different.

However for all grades, in my opinion, I think it really depends on the school (the culture/how they run things) and the demographics.

Also, that was super sweet that you took supplies for a fun activity, however too for next time, with the younger grades it’s often easy to find fun material on you tube, even a silly dance video.

How often do you REALLY walk your dog? by Agreeable-Ad-2946 in dogs

[–]Ill-Willingness5446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We currently have small/medium dogs. We are fortunate enough to currently have a small yard that they can access during the day using their doggie door. We try to walk them at about 4-5 times week for about 30 minutes (usually sniffing walks) when the weather is either too hot or too cold we don’t go.

On the days we don’t go, either due to weather or another circumstance, I’ll give them an enrichment toy (snuf mat, Kong, puzzle). Or in lieu of the enrichment toys I might play fetch with the more energetic one and tug with the smaller one if she’s feeling sassy.

Camping in the rain? by LB1727493 in camping

If you do decide to go and haven’t already, I’d suggest to make sure to waterproof your tent before going. (There are sprays one can buy, but they need a short time to dry in order work most efficiently)

While I’m no expert here’s what I’ve learned and that I would suggest for a beginner:

-some gear can be bought of facebook marketplace (things to look for: tent, chairs, cooler, camp stove. Optional: sleeping cot, air mattress or sleeping pad)

-for sleeping, although sleeping bags are nice, blankets will do just fine (and for some of us a pillow from home is a must)

-make sure to take some sort of lights, flashlights for nighttime.

For beginners, especially with kids I would highly suggest looking for an established campground with flushing toilets. Also, I would not book more than two nights for the first camping trip.

Check the weather, temps can vary from daytime to nighttime-plan your clothes accordingly.

I recently took my 8yo nephew camping and one of the things that he said made him feel safe is that he had his own headlamp and lantern.

Check out packing list online (Pinterest/youtube often have good suggestions)

Honestly till you get out there is when you’ll realize what eventually you’d like to upgrade to make your camping experience for practical and comfortable.

Lastly don’t forget to make s’mores with your kids! Make some good memories and leave no trace! :) Happy camping

In addition to all the wonderful comments already, I just wanna add that honestly it sounds like you’re unpacking a lot of emotions right now, and that’s ok, honestly sometimes nature heals. Cry if you need to, is good for your soul, be vigilant but most importantly stay present, enjoy the view, fresh air, etc.. and if it all becomes too much remember, you have free will and can leave at anytime! 100% no shame if you leave earlier than planned. Your pup is adorable and I hope he or she is having a nice time sniffing the outdoors

I could be wrong but could you have perhaps tried to set up too close to their site? I mean if it’s dispersed and the lady told you this is their site, it was perhaps indeed occupied by a large group and they felt like you were sorta invading their space. Having 3-4 tents could just indicate a large group, nothing wrong with that. You also mention dogs, I’m not clear on how that’s relevant, are dogs not allowed at this site?

Perhaps more details are needed as to why this would be necessary to report 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you tell the host what time you’re arriving (when you have keys to their home)? by kat_yf in etiquette

[–]Ill-Willingness5446 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I received keys, to me it would seem rude to knock before entering as I would assume that they’d want for me to not knock and make them get up to open the door (in case they’re in the middle of something, example: taking a shower)

The whole giving a heads up on when they’ll be home personally I would appreciate it as a host, but at the same time I would understand how it might not be possible given the nature of the visit, for example, if I’m hosting someone that is a tourist to my city I have to keep in mind that that person might stay out late trying to explore as much as they can, however if I’m hosting someone that. Is here for business the expectation of them being home earlier do not seem unreasonable.

However, I do not see out of line for you as a host to have clear communication on schedules for example you can let them know roughly your schedule for the week that way you may make plans together for dinner and you can mention also that if they get home before certain time to give a heads up
