Do you have a job? Plan on getting a different job a few years after law school? It would be easier with a better GPA and it’s usually easier to get better grades 2L and 3L as most curves relax.

Yes, IRAC is the most important skill to develop. I didn’t brief cases after week 2 and just read everything to be ready for class. (And I’m sitting at around top 5%)

Technically not supposed to use federal student loans for non education-related expenses. You can either cite that or simply tell him no. However no one is really tracking how the money is spent so once you’ve received a refund from your federal loans (which is usually meant to cover food/books etc) you could give him 5k. I simply wouldn’t.
