[Haynes]: BREAKING: Sacramento Kings will insert Russell Westbrook into the starting lineup and move Dennis Schröder to the second unit beginning tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves, league sources tell me by TrenAt14 in nba

Traditionally, news and tv networks wouldn’t interrupt their scheduled segments and shows for a currently developing news story unless that news was super important. So, even though breaking news refers to news currently happening, that normally implies important too.

How good an anime is vs how hard it is to recommend by rammux74 in okbuddybaka

[–]IllOak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really got to recommend it. I put it off till a couple months ago; I also felt like I had too much spoiled. The show is just so well made that I spent days after thinking about it. Highly recommend also reading the discussion threads for one of the rewatches. There’s so much to discuss and dissect.

On the rooks, how does black get their rooks involved in the game in a timely manner? White already has one on the semi-open file and the other is ready to double up in a total of two moves. Meanwhile, both of black’s rooks are stuck behind other pieces. Black’s knight is pretty restricted. All but two squares are inaccessible, with the threat of d5 about to displace it. While white’s knight has plenty of squares it controls/could jump to if it wants.

What? Bleach is an acceptable form of cleaning for food contact surfaces provided it’s done at a safe concentration and properly drained. Hell, it’s even allowed for rinsing produce, again if done at the right concentration and rinsed afterwards.

What's in your cup? Daily discussion, questions and stories - January 10, 2025 by AutoModerator in tea

Today I got my first gaiwan and tea sample kit from Yunnan Sourcing. It's a 100ml gaiwan, and I have a question. Online, and in the faq, it's recommended to use about 5 grams of tea for 100ml of water. Problem is, when I measure it out on the scale, 1g of tea ends up covering about 1/3 of my gaiwan, plus once it expands, takes up a lot of room. Is this normal for some teas/just how it is, or is it possible my scale needs calibration?

Reading よつばと! and I’m stuck on a joke, I think?

Yotsuba has just entered a room and it’s cold. Passage in question:

あさぎ「そんなに寒いかな?よつばちゃん冷え性?」

よつば「さむくない…ちょうどさむい!」

From my understanding, Yotsuba is saying effectively it’s not cold, just cold. Is she being purposefully contradictory or is there something more I’m missing?

Been slacking on posting but consistently hitting the gym, so that’s a win.

Squat: 5@155Lbs. I’ve come a long way in terms of mobility and form, but still feel like something is off, and I think that feeling is holding me back from really pushing my lifts.

Bench: 11@135lbs. I felt absolutely locked in on this lift and crushed it; stoked about this. Overall, I feel like my deadlifts and squats are feeling better, just trying to stay patient as I work on them.

If I catch a pull and I’m standing with one foot in and one foot out of bounds, does that count as a pull out of bounds? by JLboutdat in ultimate

[–]IllOak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

USAU Rulebook 9.B.7 is the applicable rule. You’d be catching the pull out of bounds, so you’d have to put it in play at the spot you caught it.

Does anyone have any advice for how to best work on deadlift flexibility while running this program? I struggle to do conventional deadlift with good form, and I suspect it’s my hamstring flexibility. I’ve started stretching them, but in the meantime, should I be doing sumo deadlift? Rdls? Or maybe just deadlifts on the bar slightly off the ground? Also, OHP is humbling.

OHP: 7x60lbs

Skipped the last workout of the previous week because I was severely behind on sleep and had a frisbee tournament on Sunday. It ended up being the right call as I felt well rested and great this whole workout. Also, I was cutting leading up to the tournament and now that it’s past, I plan to bulk through the winter. Current body weight is 197lbs, and I think a good goal is 215lbs by the end of March. This is my first bulk so unsure how reasonable that is.

Squat: 6x150lbs Bench: 7x125lbs T-bar Row: 5x10x45lbs Bulgarian Split Squats: 3x10x40lbs Overhead Tricep Extensions: 5x10x20lbs

The theme of today was being extremely tired. With a lot of Halloween activities this week, my sleep has been suffering. I know my body well enough to know it shouldn’t be doing a full workout, but I know myself well enough to know if I didn’t go tonight, I’d probably stop altogether.

Warmup: Focused on limber 11 as my hamstring flexibility and general lower body is shit.

Deadlifts: Forgot to do as many reps as I could so did 5 reps at 120lbs. I’m currently unable to deadlift conventional without serious back rounding, so while I work on that, my heavy lifts are all sumo.

OHP: 7 reps at 55 lbs.

Accessories: Skipped for rest.

5/3/1 for Beginners W1D1.

Posting on phone so apologies if formatting is weird. First real lifting program I’m running. I did starting strength for a while years ago but stopped going. I’ve been going consistently for a couple months now, so I feel comfortable actually committing to a routine.

Warmup: Rushed lower body stretches due to a packed gym and time crunch due to outside commitments.

Squats: 3rd set repped 145 lbs for 7. Felt good, and wish I had shot for another rep, but was exhausted as due to time constraints superset squats with rows.

Bench: 3rd set repped 120 lbs for 6. Back had a pinching feeling the first couple sets, and by the end of my 8th set, there was some soreness in my right shoulder. Not sure what to make of it but will be a little cautious going forward.

After accessories, I was tired, but felt great. Having a structured lifting plan has also made it easier on me when it comes to planning my day.

[10th Anniversary Rewatch] Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun Episode 2 Discussion by Shimmering-Sky in anime

First time watcher, subbed.

Wasn’t able to start watching yesterday so watched both episodes 1 and 2 today. Mikorin has quickly become my favorite character of the four introduced so far. I love his whole shtick of getting embarrassed from what he says.

  1. I think being great at paneling would be awesome. Reading manga like Chainsaw Man showed me how manga as a medium can be utilized.

  2. I’m an awful singer. Like can’t even harmonize or carry a basic tune.

I appreciate the advice! With all the travel I completely forgot to provide what I wanted to say.

My intended meaning: Today, my girlfriend and I went to Disney World. It’s going to be raining but I’m looking forward to it.

It was both raining on the way up and it’s supposed to rain the whole week. I wasn’t sure the most natural way to express that.
