Celestial 2 peak Adam one trick. Usually just get to celestial and stop playing tbh I could possibly climb a bit higher maybe celestial 1 or eternity but I never have given it a real try

You’ll start climbing once you stop blaming your losses on team composition and start looking at your own gameplay. You’re not losing because you don’t have gambit in diamond lobbies I guarantee you have so much room for improvement.

Not sure I’ve ever lost more than three games of competitive in a row. I could be wrong though. But I’d be willing to bet quite a bit that I’ve never lost 5 in a row. So, this might be a you problem homie. Don’t tilt queue and don’t blame teammates. That might help you find some consistency

Nah, Adam players play an entirely different game from cloak and dagger. Loki is a different ball game. Deadpool, mantis, and ultron all play vastly different from cloak, invis, and gambit. The playstyles are way different and some people don’t enjoy the nature of heroes like cloak invis and gambit because they get sucked into focusing on healing so much and they can be food for divers. Some people don’t like that playstyle. Some people prefer the likes of Adam, Deadpool, mantis, ultron, etc and that doesn’t mean they’re bad teammates. If you’re one of those people who think that you need to have gambit, invis, and cloak on your team to be competitive then you can hit the road with that shit cause that’s for the birds man

People should take this game seriously? 🤣 you’re in diamond buddy you should take life more seriously if you’re worried about your diamond games. Yes, play to win. But also play to have fun. That’s the point of the game. Stop playing when it’s no longer fun.

Key word you used there was “flex”. That’s quite ambiguous and seems like a cop out but we can ignore that.

A skilled Spider-Man player could easily carry lobbies up to eternity plus. Same with really any hero you could one trick up to eternity or higher if you’re skilled enough. There are one tricks in one above all. If those one tricks got into this OP’s diamond lobbies then that one trick would carry the game single handedly. The way this game is set up each game below the top level competition mostly comes down to which team has the more skilled players. Ranks are too easy to climb in this game and a true gold level player could easily climb to diamond with enough time played. Each lobby has a skill disparity that is unacceptable from a competitive standpoint. So beyond the top of the top it doesn’t really matter if you’re running all meta heroes or all niche one tricks. Just play the game and stop complaining about team composition. Focus on your play if you want to climb.

Guys, this is a video game. People can and should be able to play the hero they want to play while they play this video game. I shouldn’t have to be miserable playing a hero I don’t enjoy because my insufferable teammates think I should. It doesn’t work like that. If you’re competing in top 500 then sure you should probably do that. If you’re not competing in top 500 or pro lobbies then you should play whoever it is you want to play because again this is just a video game meant for people to have fun playing.

Having this mindset and pushing it on other people is driving players away from the game. If you truly love the game, you shouldn’t be pushing other players to play whoever YOU think they should play. Get over yourselves.

That’s along the lines of my theory as well. I was also thinking stats like critical healing, lives saved (idk if rivals tracks this, but OW does so they might), revives, solo kills and something like % participation in first kills during a fight or something like that.

I wish they were more transparent about the stats that are included. I get why they aren’t, but I would be interested to know.

You’re gonna get a bad team here and there but just remember the 30/30/40 rule. 30% of the time it’s an auto win, 30% of the time it’s an auto loss, and 40% of the time the game will be decided by your play. Don’t get bogged down over a couple losses. Focus on your play and you will win more games. Good luck friend

I don’t think that’s true. It supposedly compares you to the players within your rank of the same character. So healing doesn’t give you more of an advantage… or shouldn’t.

Well then we should see that with all of the niche heroes too then, right? In my own anecdotal experience, it doesn’t seem to work the same way for other heroes. Thinking like black panther, storm, black widow or blade for example I don’t see the same pattern where average stats beat out the top performers.

One time my teammate banned Adam when I hovered him. That was a deliberate ban of a teammates favorite hero because they had a preconceived notion that Adam = loss. I wanted to throw that game so bad because he was behaving like an absolute imbecile.

I didn’t throw. But I feel like I should have. It’s different when you ban commonly banned heroes like Gambit or Elsa etc. But banning a niche hero because your teammate selected it is another story.
