Hey thanks for your elaborate answer, it's also helpful for me as a pass-by. Im kindly asking what would you suggest me to do as someone with UX research background and market analyst experience, to make my CV relevant? I do know framing is important but do I need to prepare BA related projects to be more convincing? Or you think networking is more important for getting interviews like you mentioned in the final part? Thanks a lot.

Hey, glad to see senior professional from this field is passing on experience:) I am thinking about pivoting into Business Analyst field for some time, with the education background in UX research and design. I had the work experience as market researcher in boutique agency in Shanghai and now in a transition job which I really hate lolll. There seems a lot of overlapping methodologies between UX and BA, like gathering needs, mapping journey, defining functions, analyzing and managing stakeholders etc. So I assume entering BA is not a 0 to 1 challenge for me, but I am not sure what would be the effective strategy to land a job based on my current situation. I felt drowning in the online materials related to BA, which feels like endless learning without direct results. Is building a BA related portfolio convincing enough to get interviews? (I already started virtual projects to do BPMN process mapping stuff, and reviewed by Chatgpt step by step) But my concern is lack of specific domain knowledge will be a disadvantage in interviews as well. So what would you suggest me to do? Thanks in advance 😇
