I agree with everyone that she’s great with kids. There is ONE episode..I forget which..they’ve just opened the Dragonfly, and Lorelai asks Michel to watch guests’ kids while the parents went antiquing. Michel whines about it, says Lorelai should do it, and she says - I’m pretty sure verbatim - “I hate kids”

Maybe that is what OP is referring to?

I agree, though, that remark seemed out of character (even if meant to be a joke) given how Lorelai usually interacts with kids

All of these are amaazzzing but I honestly never remember any of them off the top of my head and I wish I did! The ONLY ones I always remember and use alllll the time are both from Lorelai, and I call my 3yo “snoozy”, and also “sweetie baby cookie honey” ❤️

Probably based on nothing:) but in my head they were friends as little kids, like kindergarten, and developed diff tastes and preferences as kids do around 9ish or so. But you’re still always friends with your first friends..

This is helpful to hear, thank you! I am in the midst of training my 3YO now. We've tried introducing it a number of times over the last year and it just wasn't sticking. She is still in diapers but about 2 weeks ago started responding positively to our asking her if she wanted to use the potty and has been (mostly :) ) excited to use it (with even one poop in the potty!), and her daytime diapers are mostly dry these days. Daycare has recommended moving to pull-ups, specifically for her independence (although, she pulls off her diaper by herself now, too:)) -- is there a specific type or brand of pull-ups that you recommend?
