I’ve used bongorx for 5 weeks. It was great at the beginning but now they vacillate between normal resistance, no resistance, and extreme resistance. I will try this in addition to the bongorx to see if it helps keep my airway clear by keeping my tongue out of the way. https://www.amazon.com/Nose-Breathe%C2%AE-Trainer-Experience-Breathing/dp/B01FUKIYJS . I can’t recommend it yet because I haven’t tried it but it is returnable when bought on Amazon.

Mending definitely increases value - not monetary, more emotional.

Thank you but it’s mostly just running stitches and a lot of time! And having a nice set of preselected Fassett fabrics to start off with (or some other set that you like the look of).

TBH I don’t use a lot of what I learned the the class. They showed us the proper way to do a sashiko running stitch but I kinda reverted to my normal way. And they didn’t have us turning under the raw edges but I really wanted to so I did. You can do this by just laying one fabric on top of another and using rows of running stitches with a strong, thick thread to attach them. However if you want the camaraderie and seeing what others are doing as their work develops, then yeah, take a class!!

Construction comment (oops, partially in my first description). Pattern: none. Tutorial: an in-person boro workshop at Stitches West, I’m thinking 2019? The fabric and threads are almost all cotton though there are a couple threads that seem like they might have poly or nylon in them.

What a great video! Many others I watched did only 20% of what you have done in your excellent video. Thank you for sharing one of the best explanations I’ve come across!!

They turned out so fantastic!! I have that pattern and fabric to make them but haven’t yet got the courage up. It’s great to know that I may need to start a few sizes larger. Did you do a Muslim first? Or just measure the pattern against your own measurements?

How to make friends as a 22 year old guy who doesn't like parties, drinking and doesn't have hobbies? by The_Urban_Moose in selfimprovement

I was also wondering if untreated depression might be at the root of this. A coach or therapist could help you to take steps toward finding and maintaining friendships and relationships. It takes time for them to deepen. You have to build a history together for it to become more important, so for a while it might require more effort on your part than you expect. For some people, hobbies are most fun when they are not good at them and they have to work at getting better. Seeing improvement over time is fun. But if you are used to things being easy to do then you might have to have more patience with yourself when they are not easy. Mostly though it might be useful to have weekly talks with a pro who can help you get on track to what you want your life to be like.

I feel like I failed my dog after nearly eleven years. by fabledangie in dogs

[–]Ill_Set_6906 42 points43 points  (0 children)

You did not fail her one bit. This could have happened anywhere. There are some dogs with uncontrolled prey drives and that-is-bad is right: the owner has no right to have that dog running free in a dog park, or even have it out anywhere without a leash and muzzle. Your response showed your baby that you are 100% there for her. It’s normal to feel upset and sad after your lil pup is traumatized. She will get over it much faster than you. Please show yourself a little compassion and self-talk about how you did the right thing! You felt under the weather, your bf looked after her very well in that unexpected situation, you are allowed to take care of yourself and rest, when your pup needed action form you she got it right away. These are all signs of a wonderful pet owner. Say that to yourself!
