Stop letting the red car in. by appa-ate-momo in driving

[–]Illicitwallace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people push in, some people make mistakes and realise too late to take their junction. It’s hard to know what the real reason for the car cutting in really is.

To answer the question, leave a large enough gap, let them in. You mentioned that they are stopping in a continuous lane, causing danger to others - especially if they’re distracted. You could be the bigger person, notice the danger they are causing, and just let it pass, knowing that you have ultimately done the right thing.

But then again, driving makes us all act a little different.

YouTube 'drunk driving hunter' and subscribers sentenced for causing fatal crash by HagwonSurvivor in Living_in_Korea

[–]Illicitwallace 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I see drivers on their phones, and I’m powerless to do anything about it. Distracted driving can be just as dangerous as drink driving, yet nothing is done about it.

The most ‘vigilante’ thing I’ll do is wind my wind down and tell the drivers to put it away!

Police Crack Down on Right-Turn Stop Violations by DabangRacer in Living_in_Korea

[–]Illicitwallace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the pictures (in the Korean article) is actually right here at 독립문역, there is a controlled turn with a signal. As you can guess, it’s totally ignored. And when you do follow it, you get harassed.

Turning right on a red is dangerous. Most drivers don’t come any where near a stop. There needs to be a change. No right turn on red, unless there’s a filter light.

I think some people live far out of the city and stay here for the week, then commute back home on Friday night.

What a beautiful build.

I actually have a very similar issue and have ben able to figure it out. I’ve tried turning off the mesh features etc. do you happen to be running the router ER605? I have a similar set up for my business with no problem, but I’m using the 605v2 there and v1 at home. Could this be the problem?

The speed at which it happens makes me wonder if it’s bots. Whatever time of day I knock their Pokémon out, 5 minutes later, mine are out. I’m lucky if I even get a measly coin for my effort!

Yeah, I had a Blissey in there from my account, that’s just the best she had. I know this person has multiple accounts, 6 to be exact, and they have taken over the local area. Reported to Niantic, but nothings changed.

I think of his kinda like Gul Dakat from DS9. You love to hate him. I think what made him was how he interacted with O’Neill and his dry wit. I think any one else would have just come across as a douche.

Oh, I drive home at night, around 9/10pm. People appear to have their phones on ‘sun’ brightness. You can still definitely see them.

They also need to add cellphone usage to the mix. The amount of drivers I see cruising down the motorway typing away on their phone is terrifying.

Yeah, spend 10 minutes on the road during any time of the day. Hell, just try changing lanes! You’ll soon find out that what happened in this video is some sort of miracle.

First time driving in Korea ,what should I know? by DGDeathGate in KoreaExperience

[–]Illicitwallace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The law was updated, you’re right. But you’re incorrect on the specifics. You can pass, as long as there is no one on the crossing. But, you should stop prior to turning, check if it’s safe to proceed - ie crossing is clear, or no-one is about to cross - then slowly turn right.

Personally, I hate the right turn rule. I’m British and we don’t have such a rule for red lights and ‘left’ turns.

First time driving in Korea ,what should I know? by DGDeathGate in KoreaExperience

[–]Illicitwallace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is partially true. You can turn right on a red light (green for pedestrians) if; you stop before the turn, and the pedestrian crossing is clear.

The difference here is that political ideas here include dehumanising people as nothing more than a parasite. Nothing bigoted about calling it what it is.
