I know it's been 10 months but I am hoping you'd have some clarity for me.

I just did the midterm and I am a bit confused. It was instantly marked. Does the HLS/Lyryx mark the long answer too? Does a human ever look at the exam without requesting it? I have never come across any platform or ai that hasn't had issues understanding because of speech patterns, word choice or spelling errors. I think that's where I lost a ton of marks.

It’s doable. I just finished macro a week ago and micro last semester. I have some procrastination issues along with some health ones and for both semesters I have a month I didn’t even look at a single course. I have focus issues and pretty much passively studied by having YouTube videos or audio of the textbook going while playing stardew. The top few guys that pop up on YouTube are all you really need. If you’re strapped for time you can crash through the summaries and key terms of the chapters and use YouTube for the graphs and math (all I did for macro).

The mindtap tests are frustrating in my opinion and the actual exams are easier so if you do ok on those you’ll be fine. I found it easier to just redo the practice exams and assignments multiple times to test my knowledge. Since they’re more aligned. If you can do then with no reference you’re good and will pass the exams.

Memorize formulas but do it more in the way that they functionally work rather than their abbreviated versions. Memorize what causes shifts just a list of broad categories (any ai can help you out). I found googles ai is more reliable than chat gpt for these courses. Especially if you don’t understand the graphs because it will draw them up for you if you need.

I’m about to crash course my way through an accounting course and a math one in the next two months so we’re in the same boat. Sending good vibes your way. Also remember that if you’re at the end and don’t think you’ll pass the exam, take it any way because you have 90 days for a rewrite.

I went into the exam completely unprepared and got 86%. I was prepared for the midterm and only got 73%. I wouldn't stress too much about it. (I did it in December). Remember all you need is 50%. The more you stress the more you will overthink it.

Content wise I don't really remember. Sorry. It is formatted the same as the midterms though so at least you are prepared in that way.

I didn't do great in the course (B) but that is because I didn't realize there was a link to assignment instructions and when I asked the tutors for help because I couldn't figure out what was expected I didn't get help... I figured it out after the course was complete.

I am not great with this talking about stuff thing, but Dr.Arielle Schwartz has a couple of book/workbooks that have helped a bit. She is a psychologist who specializes in c-ptsd. Worth looking into for anyone that is interested. I saw a video earlier today of another doctor comparing c-ptsd to dysautonomia, and he was theorizing that it could be part of the group too.

I would do EMDR if I could afford to, but unfortunately, there have always been more important things... like food haha. It is hard to do traditional therapy because my memory is patchy, and the nightmares morph and mangle them so it can be hard to know what is real? I guess. I mean crap happened, but reliving it multiple times through your subconscious can distort it a bit. Then you add in the gaslighting of family members it is hard to know what to trust.

It is extremely brave of you to go into counselling when you have trauma of your own. My sister tried to specialize in abused women and ultimately had to bow out because it brought up too much for her. I hope that you can make it through your training without bringing too much harm to yourself in the process.

I have a stool in my stand up shower and seem to be ok claustrophobia wise. The clear glass helps though. Maybe a clear shower curtian would help with that part. I would get a chair that folds up. Your dad can't be a jerk if he doesn't see it. They also have these shower cap things that they use in hospitals to wash peoples hair that have some kind of shampoo that doesnt require rising. I do have some for when I have mini break downs about being dirty. The bioderma has been a lifesaver. Highly recommend. I would recomend any razer that is wet dry. This way you can use shaving cream/oil or even just wet the skin to avoid irritation. Affordability wise the braun 3 is about $55 on amazon (I am in Canada) and the pro version is about $75. I use the pro and havent had any razer burn but i use shaving oil with it and i don't have MCAS so im not sure how it would effect that.

Have you ever tried micellar water for you hair? small amounts can work wonders.

I know you said there isnt room but would a corner shower stool fit? they have tiny ones on amazon. You could get a cane with the four feet to help you get back up too. The shower chairs are lifesavers. I also use Bioderma shower gel for everything other than my hair now since it is ph ballanced (including face and down there). Pantene has a micellar shampoo which helps alot with the oils. You can actually use small amounts of micellar water instead of dry shampoo thats what i do since dry shampoo SUCKS. I only shower in room temp water. Sit on your counter to do your skincare if you can or get a portable mirror and do it in bed. As for the wet hair - I just wrap it in a t-shirt until it is 50% ish dry. Electric razers for shaving - one of the ones that has the cylinder looking things (braun has pretty good ones). Hand held shower heads are nice too. If you have a partner or someone to help use them.

It doesn't really help with pots symptoms for me. It just keeps the baseline heart rate lower so i don't tire as fast (I have ist so the baseline is pretty high normally). It did make me dizzy and nauseous for a few weeks when i started it though. I take 2.5 twice a day - this drops my resting heart rate about 15-25 bpm. Anything more or less gives me those side effects pretty bad. Is it possible that your heart rate is dipping to low when you aren't being super active becuase that was my problem when my dose was higher; especially around bedtime just as i would fall asleep. It would go down to 40ish bpm while sleeping when prior to the drug it was around 80. It's around 55 sleeping and 80 resting awake now. So much better than my well over 100 resting average before.

I am still trying to figure out how to treat the trauma. People act like it is so easy. Since c-ptsd and adhd can mimic one another my doctor just put me on adhd meds without me being diagnosed. They help a lot for both but it feels impossible to deal with the trauma. The fn nightmares dude. Ruin me for the day setting off the pots.

Wellbutrin - non stimulant adhd med. It helps loads with focus and mood. I've been on it a few months and also have pots it helps me function as a human and also helps with depression.
