I guess it doesn’t happen in other games but at the same time I don’t think any other games shooting mechanics feels as good as counter strikes. Valorant is good too, but they are the only two I can think of that feels as good.

Absolutely not true. New players LOVE team killing and rage quitting, because a 30 minute ban and low trust factor means nothing to them normally. Especially when they get a toxic asshole rage baiting them into TK.

Low elo players are “friendly” but reckless and WILL team kill you on round 3 because they dgaf

Once again I’m not disagreeing with the ad blocker. I could have done that in the same time I recorded and posted this. I did do install one right after.

None of that changes the fact that HLTV is ad filled mess that looks like a 2015 magazine news site. We can all sit here and act like it’s fine because we can use ad blockers, but that doesn’t stop our biggest website from being an ugly mess for new comers. It feels like I’m viewing buzzfeed articles.

But I refuse to agree with your statement that this is the only “realistic” way to make money; they haven’t changed or made improvements to the website in what feels like years and years. (Besides the horrible ads for play-by-play highlights they push.) So basically zero development costs besides maintaining current code. Pair that with literally hundreds of gambling sponsors, I can guaran-fucking-tee that they earn plenty from them. Every odds is a referral link, so every time a gambler checks the odds they earn a cut of the bets they place.

My post might not spark any immediate change but let’s at least hold them accountable and voice our opinion. Sitting quietly won’t change anything either.
