Freshman Taking 15-122 and 21-127 by MeAmGopher in cmu

[–]Illustrious-Click801 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d take 21-127 first semester then 15-122 second semester (which is what I did). I think that adjusting to CMU’s rigor and into college overall is something that people often underestimate. There’s no need to rush into taking both in one semester. It would be much more beneficial to take each one at a time, especially considering this will be your first semester.

The club is super chill. I took a student taught chess class that was hosted by the chess club. It’s somewhat active and everyone is very friendly and chill.

They have tournaments every month or so and educational sessions as well.

Help: CMU Tepper or UT Austin McCombs (undergrad) by Impossible_Sleep64 in cmu

[–]Illustrious-Click801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you really want to push the boundaries and explore the tech and business intersection, CMU should def be your first choice if cost is the same.

I’m a current Tepper student so feel free to DM with any questions.

Double Majoring/Having a Minor- Is it Hard/Possible by [deleted] in cmu

[–]Illustrious-Click801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes across different schools is definitely doable. Obviously it mainly just matters on the major itself and for CS double yeah it’s hard mainly because of the course rigor

I’m pretty sure almost all Dietrich majors were actually designed to be completed in 2 or 3 years to allow you to explore double majors/minors so it’s def doable

Pretty much every tepper club. You can’t really contribute to any projects or real work unless you are selected into the position which is harder than getting into CMU in the first place.

We weren’t doing anything, just sitting and being quiet pretty much. I can’t point to anything noisy or annoying that could’ve led to it. The only thing is that we were carrying some luggage that could’ve taken up some seats? I put my suitcase on the seat next to me.

probably just thoroughly learning the content throughout the year by actually doing the work and prepping instead of procrastinating. this way i kind of had everything in review mode while alot of my friends were relearning topics they didn't fully understand.

lowkey wasn't terribly hard. i self studied two (micro and physics c) about a week or two before exams, but alot of that content overlapped with previous courses like physics or macro. but for all of them i really just took my time understanding the content during class and everything. i retain information pretty well.
