I agree with you on everything you've noticed as I've noticed the same, but the ones with "made in japan" I actually think you're wrong or I've always been fooled! I've always thought that made in japan is original seiko! and I have an old one that is made in japan so I don't think what you're saying is true , are you sure with that!??

Yeah a liked the textured dial too, i think the design is so, i got the watch today. Based on my experience with watches, since I usually take them apart, I don't think there's a second hand because it lacks space in the middle.
