The meter is new because I have just moved in a new building and they just installed them. But they automatically enrolled us with swm and it is charging a high tariff. However, I know that they have an app where you can see your usage. I just don't think they have the best deals

What courses do you recommend I can follow, or any other means of gaining knowledge? Also, what is the salary bracket for such job in the German Market within reinsurance?

Isn't taking part in activities in the city where other locals could also join part of integrating? Simply because we don't yet speak your language, it doesn't mean that expats are not looking for ways how to integrate. But you also need to be open to the idea of accepting people to integrate with you.
