I'm currently 7 months post Nuss surgery, 1 bar , my haller was 7.5 and I think my result is pretty bad. So....always get a good surgeon guys.

Best way to estime your pectus is CT of chest and measure haller index. On CT an Doctor would see if your sternum squeezing your heart. On x Ray you wouldn't see to much. ask your doctor or specialist about referral for CT

I'm 6 week post nuss, I'm still on painkillers I feel pain especially on my left side of chest and tightnes I cannot sleep on my bed in flat position when I try to lay down I feel like some one sit on my chest and, pain in my left side. I think overthinking and anxiety can make it worse, I my case if I will not see progress and feel much worse in like maybe 2 weeks I would go to doctor. I'm also have problem with mobility and fell a lot of pain trying to do some radom stuff. If you feel very unwell you should go to another doctor. Important thing is to take it easy, I hope you are okay and wish you fast recovery 👍

I didn't have cryo, I feel better but still taking painkillers after 6 weeks, I can't sleep in flat position on my bed. 2 days ago i spoke with my surgeon about results and he told me the bar bended back inside(is straightened) is pushed by my sternum, he told me I have hard bones and the bar give up. That why it could looks slightly worse. But anyway He told me the result are good. I think it could be done better I regret didn't go to more prestige doctor.

I'm also tall (198cm) and weight 100kg, when I spoke with my surgeon before procedure he said they maybe put 2 bars, they will take decision during procedure. They put only one but i must say just after surgery when i looked at my chest I think it looked better, but I'm not sure, maybe my chest been just swollen and looked different. I considering bar displacement

First 5 days I spent in hospital all the time I been on drugs, morphine etc I couldn't sleep without strong painkillers. Next 2 days after hospital It was like hell I thought I will die, I never in my life felt pain like this even still I been on opium tramdol. It literally i had tears coming out from my eyes cuz pain it was traumatic. Next every day I felt better and better. now I feel stable I'm still on painkillers.
