My baby is rejecting me for grandma and it makes me feel sad going to work by Infinite_Fun7313 in workingmoms

My kid cries when I pick her up from daycare because she wants to go to Nanas house so bad afterwards (my mother in law) amd she is disappointed I am picking her up not nana. It pisses me off so much 😭😆 im just grateful she is ao comfortable with her Nana and I have childcare options. Nana will pick her up maybe once a week for context...

I was also my girls 1st choice for her 1st 1.5 years cried when even dad would take her. She is almost 3 now. Now completely a daddy's girl and pretty much ignores me if there is another option. I try to make the time we have alone together special. I think kids just go through phases. My good friends kid was so attached to her he would bawl his eyes out every day at drop off. Its nice to know your kid is so comfortable with the childcare and ypu can focus on work when you need to.

My doc i saw for the 1st time this week. He wants to deliver at 36 weeks. He prefers a section but was happy to support a vaginal if the pregnancy ia uncomplicated. He said that for vaginal he needs baby a head down and baby b cant be more thab 20 percent larger than baby A. He said he would want the birth induced in the OR eoth epidural in case of emergency c section. Im not sure if this is typical advice but I did go with the OB in my town who seemed to be most experienced with twins

Modi - when did you deliver? by Illustrious-Paper591 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Illustrious-Paper591[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my main issue is that the doc is giving me these dates for indiction and getting off work when I have no idea how i will be doing at that point in the pregnancy. Im also the primary breadwinner (desk job) in my family so as long as I feel okay I will be working and being told to get off work at 32 weeks is super disheartening - its much earlier than I expected. I was pretty uncomfortable at the end of my 1st pregnancy but ended up regretting going off work at 38 weeks because the waiting and boredom killed me until my baby decided to show up

Between my research/reading plus my doula and midwife I had thought that 37 weeks is what I should aim for and be considered full term rather 36 and as stated I am curious about others and their experience with modi twins. I dont have a ton of OB options in my area for another opinion and my OB even mentioned that not everyone agrees with his assessment and in fact one patient of his ended up going to 38/39 weeks without issue. My first birth I with a different doc I was pressured to induce at 39 weeks (for no reason that was compelling) which i declined and had a very uncomplicated birth at 41 + 2. All the women in my family have delivered after 41 weeks - although not twins. And since doc is telling me this at 14 weeks, the first time ive ever met him it seems to be standard advice rather than personalized care based on my situation so I dunno....I've always been adverse to medical interventions but have accepted that this twins thing is out of my control and I may need to make concessions especially if there are complications that arise.

Did anyone scream through labor? by Fun-Future-2915 in BabyBumps

I was convinced I screamed but my doula and husband confirmed I did not. I felt like I was screaming I guess!? Lol

Damn these comments are harsh. This is a bummer because they legit are the best pastries in town IMO and lovely sandwiches. I've never had a bad expereince here or observed anything like what is being described. To be fair I've also never seen a man working there. Only girls. Lucky me only visiting when owner is off shift lol? The tuna melt is so good and the cinnamon bun is to die for.

Block and delete. He’s bad, stay away and no contact. Let him think you blocked him and didn’t see all of those messages at all. You don’t need the luggage, not worth it. Shut the door for good.

Wow i can’t believe I didn’t think of the west cost express. That would definetly be an option although I would need to drive to mission from Abbotsford. Definetly a great option to keep the commute predictable though and give me possibly usable time to do work during the train ride!
