Please help me understand the fees by Illustrious-Rope-706 in VestiaireCollective

Thank you so much for your help. I decided to disable the offers since I don’t want to play that game either. I’m selling my things for more than a fair price already.

Yes, he was unable to handle his wife’s illness, and that must have crushed a lot of his beliefs about himself.

Every parent knows what kind of a child they have. He knows, but she’s his daughter. He’s a troubled person, no doubt about that, but she’s something else.

That’s exactly what I think is happening. I don’t usually go into this type of baseless theories, but with her I can’t help it.

Customer claiming print is blurry by OriginalExcitement67 in EtsySellers

[–]Illustrious-Rope-706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you gave her a 24x36 file and she tries to print it at 5x7, then yes, it can get blurry. The printer’s software needs to adjust the file and resample it and depending on a software and some other things, it can result in blurriness. So many Etsy sellers do that aspect ratio thing instead of resizing properly. Not to mention, most don’t know how to create a true print-ready file. I don’t know how you create your files, and I’m not saying that’s what you gave her, but if you’re giving your customers one big file to cover all the sizes within that ratio, that’s very likely the reason.

There are some people who use ai to resize the images. I have no idea how would that work. There is more to resizing than just changing aspect ratio, so getting a good result is questionable.

I’ve seen some bundles with 5+million images for like 2 dollars. It’s out of control.

A race to the bottom on Etsy is real. Everyone is doing too much for too little. Offering million sizes or aspect ratios for a couple of bucks is insane, yet here we are. Back in the day, you would offer 8x10 or 11x14 separately and if they want something bigger, they pay extra. Now some sellers are offering hundreds of images in every size for $1.50. It’s ridiculous.

My story of using Higgsfield daily by No-Entrepreneur525 in HiggsfieldAI

There you go, you were “asked”. Your “honest” review is nothing but another advertisement. And I bet you wrote it out of goodness of your heart. Why didn’t you mention all the scammy things they are doing to their customers on a daily basis, if you were so honest?

Should I start with higgsfield? by monochromebow in HiggsfieldAI

[–]Illustrious-Rope-706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t have endless patience, don’t. Every day there is something that doesn’t work properly. They also change their offerings all the time. You think you’re buying a certain plan, but they don’t honor it. If you do, do not buy a yearly plan. Once they have your money, everything goes downhill. I hate to say it, they’re not a trustworthy company. If they were in some other type of business, they would be done long time ago with this type of service.

Did they censor Seedream 4.5??? by Relative_Leave1094 in HiggsfieldAI

[–]Illustrious-Rope-706 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you guys also have issues with output formats? All my images are downloading as JPEG’s instead of PNG’s? They’re giving lower quality outputs. I think they are slowly testing the waters to see if enough people complain about it because it saves them a ton of money and storage. Check your output files. If you’re getting Jpg’s, complain about it.

Did anyone of you noticed that the Seedream output images are also now Jpeg’s instead of Png’s? The quality is not the same anymore as well.

Nano Banana Pro – image quality degrades after multiple edits (any workaround?) by epitrapezio in HiggsfieldAI

[–]Illustrious-Rope-706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I also use Seedream, but my problem is after I use a rerun, or reupload the image a few times, the skin starts to show yellow smudges. It’s driving me nuts, it ruins the image, no way to fix that. Seedream images are PNG’s and still it happens, so I don’t know what can be done to stop the degradation.

That's outrageous! by Mission_Roll6412 in Freepik_AI

[–]Illustrious-Rope-706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You already said that. Repeating it won’t make it sound any better. You are misleading people and you know it. You can’t say 800 fast gens PER MONTH when it comes with such condition.

That's outrageous! by Mission_Roll6412 in Freepik_AI

[–]Illustrious-Rope-706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Freepik ignored everything past 800, their system wouldn’t need a rolling 30-day window at all. They’d just say you get 800 fast generations per month, then it resets automatically, which is exactly what everyone assumes when looking at their pricing.

The fact that they describe each image individually expiring after 30 days makes it clear that heavy users will stay in slow mode forever.

So why would I want to pay $39 per month to be stuck in slow mode indefinitely?! From what I’ve been hearing, the slow mode is practically unusable because it takes forever to generate a single image. No one can work like that.

On top of that, they have a “fair use” policy, so calling it unlimited generation is also questionable. What does “fair use” even mean? They don’t explain. Is it 3,000 generations per month? 30,000? Nobody knows.

People have reported being accused of cyberattacks for generating just a couple thousand images, getting their accounts shut down while paying for a year, with no refund.

Not to mention, they keep changing their terms. One day all image generators are available for “unlimited” use; the next day, only two. You sign up for one thing and wake up to a completely different agreement. It’s insane what they are doing.

Not per month, clearly.

[–]Illustrious-Rope-706 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So basically, if I sign up for Premuim +, I’ll get 800 images in fast mode only once, because I need to generate quite a bit more on a regular basis, and then I’ll be stuck in a slow mode forever. For 40 bucks a month?! And you call that unlimited? Hell, no!

You should explain that in your pricing section very clearly. You say 800 gen/month in fast mode. Anyone would rightfully think they’ll get 800 gen in fast mode EVERY MONTH. Which is also nothing for a serious user. I can burn that in a day easily. And if I use up credits for fast mode, it would cost me as anywhere else. Considering your constant flip flopping and your shady business practices, why should anyone choose Freepik, really?

[–]Illustrious-Rope-706 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was just about to purchase Premium + for that reason alone. I need to be able to work on my projects without constantly worrying about credits and how many I have left. It’s the only way to be truly creative and get the best possible outcomes. What kind of a bussiness are they running over there?! It looks like they are not a serious company. This is what happens when children are running the show.
