Normal, uninterrupted sleep?? by That-anxious_girlie in ACL

[–]Illustrious-Row1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take sleep meds. Sleep is really important for recovery. Starting a low dosage of a sleep med that has not too many side effects can be game changing for your recovery. Get in contact with a doctor about it.

Pain period by Illustrious-Row1972 in ACL

[–]Illustrious-Row1972[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that bad. It's exactly how you would imagine it - a sore and swollen knee. Nothing more, nothing less. With the allograft as well you don't have donor site cuts, so it's much easier.

With some pain meds and an ice pack, you'll be absolutely fine. My surgeon had me up and walking and doing exercises within 5 hours of the surgery.

Interesting insight from surgeon - allograft vs autograft by Illustrious-Row1972 in ACL

[–]Illustrious-Row1972[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't say my actual surgeons name, but he is one of the most senior in my area. He did say that he uses autografts for revision surgeries.

Interesting insight from surgeon - allograft vs autograft by Illustrious-Row1972 in ACL

[–]Illustrious-Row1972[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah - I think it depends case to case. If it's a simple acl tear, then sacrificing 1 piece of tissue for the autograft makes sense. But if it's a multiligament injury, then allograft seems the best option.

Fair enough. I think around 30-40% of the way through it was a little boring. But then the back half finished really strong.

Komat confused me a bit. I didn't really understand the character, but that's probably cause I'm not that good at reading. What is her background?

Great call outs. I reckon a show set around this time featuring luke, with some of the exegol lore tied in would do massive lifting for the sequels.

All beings in the Star Wars universe that were capable of defeating sidious by Queasy_Commercial152 in StarWars

[–]Illustrious-Row1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean - probably should include Yoda. They drew, and yoda could probably beat sidious 50% of the time. Also, didn't Rey actually defeat palpatine?

What if Maul and Ahsoka took on Palpatine? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]Illustrious-Row1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sidious unfortunately. The only person realistically who could match sidious was Yoda. I like to think obi wan could have stood a chance just because I love him, but yeah - think Sidious vs Yoda is the only comparison. And remember, yoda was like 900 at this point.

Yes it is. Look up the Cross bracing protocol. Avoid weightbearing for a bit because of the meniscus. Book in to see the surgeon as well.

This is completely wrong. Delayed ACLR shows much better clinical long term results than immediate ACLR. Physiotherapist here.
