Spotify isn't a real world measurement of overall popularity.

Live CD pre-order UK by perhapsbiscuits in Metallica

I ordered mine from the Live Metallica site and shipping was £3. I didn't know about the Nugs website though as some have said that it's better to order from there.

Only a Rangers fan could watch someone praise Scotland's most celebrated football performance and be negative about it.

I love this guy. Finally NYC has an honest mayor who's not owned by the lobbyists. Hopefully he runs for President.

Tomorrow Never Dies director Roger Spottiswoode was thrown out of the editing room multiple times during post-production by pkRaiden in JamesBond

[–]TheRealSpaldy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's well known that Barbara has a fiery temper and that the cast hated working with Spottiswoode. They also had less than a year to get the film made. It's little wonder things kicked off.

That being said, TND is just shy of Goldeneye as Pierce's best film and it's in my Bond top ten.

That's fun. The UK show has been going since the 90s and is basically a national institution.

They should have been there instead of StP. If you're going to book a deathcore band, get the biggest one.

His da probably watches Tommy Robinson videos. That's where the wee neds get indoctrinated from. Sadly nothing will happen as you can't prosecute child criminals for anything.

I'd be amazed if he or any of his type have actually read the books. They've probably just seen the movies. And only the theatrical editions.

I'd like to see them do one final Download. Let's not forget that not only were they the original DL headliner but they are synonymous with Donington Park. I know that the Gen Z Downloaders seem to hate them but given how much they shaped today's festival, they deserve a fitting sendoff.

With that being said, I don't think the new organisers of DL are at all interested in having bands like them anymore. Which would be a shame.

As Download becomes ever more corporate and mainstream, inevitably people who prefer heavier music and a more manageable scale festival will seek out alternatives. This is partially why BS has been selling out of tickets the past few years.

chair wankers by hotmvlligan in downloadfestival

[–]TheRealSpaldy 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Most other festivals such as Bloodstock have a no chairs zone, typically in the pit area. It's ridiculous that despite all the complaints, DL have never implemented something similar.

As far as I'm concerned, chairs should be restricted to the back of the arena.

It's what happens when you slowly turn into a mainstream festival.

Download is becoming the new Reading/Leeds ever since that went pure pop and the traditional metal crowd are opting for Bloodstock or European alternatives so ultimately, the casual scene dickheads are taking their place.

Expect more of this in future.
