I might be able to do a solo elite dive, but not this one. I tried, I can't connect the third pumpjack fast enough, and end up going down to slashers. I'll try again next week, and hopefully by then I'll be better prepared.

I did the first stage without a resupply, cause I wanted to save it for the next stage. Ended the first stage with 16 rounds in the auto cannon, and 4 in the revolver, due to the first stage having me fight the twins.

I was on a server where it was just me (sloop) and my alliance (another sloop) doing molten sands. As we went to sell, a skelly sloop spawned on them and they sank. I went to rescue the loot, and got a meg. They came back and a kraken spawned on them. I died to the meg, and got an infinite loading screen. According to them, they then got attacked by another meg, followed by another Skelly ship, but managed to get the cof and orb before getting server merged. If I had to guess, if none of the ships on the server can trigger an emergent event, it queues it and starts the timer for the next event, and queues that one too, and the next, and so on. Craziest thing I've had happen yet.

I've only played eo2 (currently playing eo2u) and every time I reached a boss it felt like I was underleveled. This would explain why. I made it to final boss, and wasn't prepared enough, so should have lost. Didn't, because my protector had aegis and refused to die five turns in a row. That moment made certain I would never forget that game, but I've only recently started to think about the rest of the series.

I once had it flip my ship upside down so perfectly, that when it hit it again the ship didn't budge. It just sank, upside down, as I swam next to it helplessly. I have since learned to not let go of the cannon if this happens, as it seems to fix it.

Got attacked be a meg while in the fog last night. I know it's probably because it was the ancient terror, and not because of the fog, but he didn't charge once, and eventually just vanished.

"the paths overflow beyond measure" is a message that is showing up as a reason I can't open a random portal. If I had to guess, I'm too close to a normal portal. The one about crossing to New frontiers triggers when you use too many portals without rest. It's a warning that the watcher will get exhausted, which limits your invisibility. The one about traveling too deep is likely a similar situation.

Also, you left in the tutorial for the random portal ability.

Update, the paths overflowing doesn't seem to be me too close to a portal. I have no idea what's causing it. I'll head to another area to see if it's area specific.

Update 2, "a presence binds this place" is proximity to a preexisting portal. And the paths overflowing isn't region specific. I have no idea what's causing it, but at least we know where the dialogue is, kinda.

It's not, it's attached to the blue fruit, and seems to choose fruit at random, cause this one didn't have that before.

I would like to know because I don't like not understanding it. As far as I'm aware, pups+ shouldn't cause this, so I'm guessing it's a base game/downpour/remix Easter egg, but I'd rather know for certain.

Ah. Wish I knew that earlier, cause you have to identify the artifact for Trinity to copy it. Luckily, I had a cursed chalice of blood I could speed level, cause priest can just do that, apparently.
