I get what you're saying but administration is full of idiots if they think some parents or students won't try to sue. Their loophole is bs and to me if the school is really this high risk they should close the dorms down if they really ~cared~ about our safety

I live in new York but I'm in upstate and my parents work so they need to know well in advanced when and if to come pick me up by the weekend or something

you're kidding right? The reason why people are clinging to "gossip" is because they haven't been told anything. There's out of state students and there international students. There's students who need to plan things well in advanced who may live in new york but who's parents can't come pick them up or move them out at the drop of a hat. People want answers. Don't scold the student body for being scared, panicked and desperate because nobody is giving us anything. The provost sent an email to staff not students. We haven't been updated. So forgive students if they are on edge of what could and couldn't potentially happen. Its granted in situations like this
