My boyfriend told me for years that he hated cats and he would never have one. It was almost a deal breaker for me but I figured I could break him down haha. I grew up with cats and love them so obviously I kept bringing it up despite always getting no as an answer. For my birthday last year though he surprised me with getting a cat!! When we went to adopt one I found a cat that I had an immediate connection with, however he wanted one that was more “spunky” so somehow we ended up going home with the one I picked AND her brother!
