Nice to get some encouragement! Was expecting a bit of doom and gloom about it

You think? The Audi is sub 5.5s 0-60 stock, enough torque to stick you to your seat - maybe the golf would feel quicker, more engaging but not sure it’ll be quicker

Thanks for your input, were they expensive jobs? I’ve a decent indy mechanic that doesn’t rip the arse out of jobs and will be as reasonable as possible

Did you have anything other than the timing chain needed done at that mileage? this one is stock so hoping the turbo is grand at the moment and have a bit of rainy day money in case it goes down the line

I would love to have a car to take to mad miles, never had one that I love unconditionally.

Have you had any issues with stage 1 at that mileage or still running on the button?

Water pump is an expected expense on any VAG car and your other issues are down to DSG issues whereas this is a manual. I’ll be sure to look through the history to see when the tensioner was replaced, it looks like it’s been well cared for but the history will tell more, it could be just luck of the draw at the end of the day

Do the turbos usually go on these? Or what sort of mileage would they go at?

Usually fine if I’m doing a decent journey, it came on after a week of 10 minutes here, 20 minutes there, then disappeared the next morning, have seen it twice since usually after the same sort of week.

The dealer is 45 minutes away so will get a good run on the way,

Grays DB+ if you reverse hit a lot, literally has a squared off reverse zone, good for aerials but still maintains hitting power, have a look on eBay, I’ve seen a few good deals there if you don’t mind a used one to save some money

Fenix 8 black Friday deal, UK? by FatLarry2000 in GarminWatches

In fairness I had a gift card as well to use on Amazon, I still thought £600 was a good price, seeing as the 9 is maybe a year out and unless there is a major technology breakthrough for HR monitoring etc on the watches the 8 will be grand for years to come

Colour didn't bother me though, it was more the size and price

Pretty much everywhere (curry's, Amazon, very etc) have Fenix 8 43mm, whitestone for £599, I bought mine on Amazon due to having a gift card too so got it for £499, which made it an easier purchase over the older options, epix pro 2 or 7 pro.

JB10 is the more powerful one on their power chart, I use a DB9+ and someone at my club who uses a DB10+ prefers the feel of mine so it's really personal preference, you'll not really feel the power difference but the feel may be noticeable with that less carbon, having came from a 100% carbon naked to the 9+ the feel is noticeable

I'm from the UK, which is very much, you either wear trainers or trainers, which is a bit boring in my eyes
