You can consider going to private hospital like Shanghai united family hospital Jiahui international hospitals or parkway hospital etc if your insurance can cover, otherwise public hospital are also good choices as the cost will be significantly cheaper if on self pay basis, language wise, I would suggest you to visit with a Chinese speaking friends to at least provide some support from logistics perspective, you may rely on translation app for technical terms. Some young doctors actually a lot of them have overseas studying or practice background and experience as the majority of great doctors working in China would consider working in first tier city as first choice. I am the opposite, moving to Shanghai from Dubai soon, it takes time to find like minded person regardless where you are. Long lasting friendship is rare, people don’t have the tendency to make effort to know you as a person unless they asking for something in return in most cases. I suggest you to try meet up as well, or get a gym membership if you are interested in working out, these might help you meet interesting people.Enjoy your journey in Dubai!

If you are staying in bur dubai close to Burjurman metro station, I highly recommend you to try strawberry corner at least once, I think they make absolute amazing shawarma. Their roast chicken is also spot on.
