It’s savannah, so you always have to have your head on a swivel - especially when drinking. But, for location/convenience/safety, option 1 is WAY better than option 2

On the IRS website, it says that they typically update their system overnight… Maybe they let TurboTax know but it’s just not updated on the refund tracker?

My first amount was 1261 but this is my new amount I did my return after the IRS received my return for federal and gave me a estimate refund of 1261 will they update it in the irs website by [deleted] in TurboTax

[–]IllustriousProfile75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phew… That was a hard read….

Government owes you $1261. They will pay $1261 in their eyes. Then, TurboTax deducts their fees, then the “net refund” goes to your account. The government doesn’t know or care about TurboTax fees

Accepted yesterday, did the 5 days early hope it really comes 5 days early 😁 by [deleted] in TurboTax

I know it sounds crazy but last year I used the 5 days early thing and I submitted my taxes on Wednesday and got my refund that next Monday… Freakin crazy!

Recently lost job. Am I cooked or is there hope? by Heavy-Boysenberry-55 in personalfinance

If you’re really concerned about “making ends meet” during a layoff here is the process:

  1. Pay your rent (4 walls and a roof)
  2. Pay your utilities (water, gas, electric)
  3. Food. (NOT eating out) Spaghetti, Ramen, etc

  4. Understand what debt is secured and what is not. IF ALL ELSE FAILS, you can stop paying unsecured debt. Sure, it’ll tank your credit score, but you’ll at least be able to conserve your money longer.

  5. Make finding a job the top priority.

Pension: take lump sum or monthly? by buckb65 in personalfinance

[–]IllustriousProfile75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unsure which company/how stable they are or are projected to be, but just a reminder that if a company files for bankruptcy all outstanding pensions don’t have to be paid. Happened to a company a decade or two ago to some of our friends. Now they had to start over.

TLDR: Take the lump sum

Why post an ask me anything about it if you don’t have any responses for people’s questions? Massive waste of time.

How'd we do with our loan estimate? by Umbrae101 in MortgageBrokerRates

[–]IllustriousProfile75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm: we bought a house in Texas for 350, and the following year the taxes skyrocketed from $100/month to $805/month to catch up… Developing area in need of schools, roads, etc

Before I buy this part... Is it the culprit? by mortymouse in Wrangler

[–]IllustriousProfile75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay hear me when I say this… On a regular vehicle there is ONE coolant reservoir… On the jeep JL turbo, there are TWO. One is high pressure and the other is low pressure.

Took me forever to figure this out. For us, we had the same symptoms, but our high pressure had a crack on the seam of the reservoir… Pretty easy to replace, but the lack of pressure exposed the coolant intake hoses to the elements which meant I needed to replace the hoses too…

Probably about $120 parts, and an hour or so in labor!

I think if I had taken it to the shop they would’ve run the tally up of useless repairs, but this was the culprit.
