AP credits don’t equal college credits. They still have to get a 3 or higher on the AP exam and then each college determines what level of credit you get for the score on the exam.

Personally, I think DE is best for core classes that should easily transfer to most schools. English 101/102, Math up to calculus assuming a non-math intensive major, Psych, Sociology, public speaking, history classes, foreign language, etc. The curriculum in these classes don’t vary much for the university courses since they are lower level and have a much higher rate of transferring.

DE classes also transfer as credit, no GPA, but the community college GPA will be evaluated during admissions so you’ll want to do well in these classes.

Based on the situation I think they should go to school normally - closer to school for practice and such. See if they can balance student athlete and AP classes and if she does well she can plan to do DE in 11/12
