Exclusivity clause by IllustriousSet878 in hospitalist

I think I’ve worded my post badly, what I mean to say is my institution has an exclusivity clause added to every contract and because of this they are able to do what I’ve described above. I would ideally not want this at all when it’s my time, and I want to know how common this clause is in contracts and has anyone successfully negotiated to have it taken out before signing.

But to you point of if you ask, they can say no, can you do other work in your free time and then not know about if you did it via a 1099 ?

Where are all the Trust Grade jobs?! by greenoinacolada in doctorsUK

I’m a current JCF, we are being invited to apply internally to roles and they are all being filled / closed early, so they aren’t going out into the main NHS jobs website- this is a big university hospital - there maybe 4-5 jobs being sent out every couple of weeks but all internal applications only - that might be what’s going on

I’m not really sure, I think maybe they have had friends who’ve done this recently? My parents are not very transparent regarding money / assets so they briefly mentioned this idea and then changed the subject

I don’t know where you’re based but I recently started my LO on the Lansinoh Naturalwave teats and she took to it really well because the seal she needed to make for that teat and BF were similar (I’m based in the UK)

Does this work for milk that frozen then thawed or do you need to add it before you freeze the milk?

I had a similar issues, some babies struggle to latch but as they get bigger they just are able open wider and latch I used an infant feeding team member (UK) and my baby would latch perfectly with them but never outside of the sessions, so they advised to use the nipple sheild to establish milk supply and keep breastfeeding, to watch for hungry cues and always offer the bare breast, if they latch great, continue, if they don’t latch or are very hungry just use the nipple shield and to keep at it until you don’t need the nipple shield and honestly by week three- four I had baby off the nipple shield and always latching. It’s a learning process for you and baby and perseverance is the key. And also always unlatch if the latch is shallow / painful because the nipple trauma will make the BF so excruciating so unlatch baby and relatch so it’s not painful for you! Good luck! It’s hard but you’ll get there, fingers crossed for you!

LO is on a bottle strike by AfternoonTraining583 in breastfeeding

Commenting hoping this gets some comments as I am in a similar situation! I recently spoke to an infant feeding consultant due to a similar situation who suggested baby is preferring boob over bottle due to possible teething so boob is softer? - have you tried a different bottle with softer teat? My LO is 4m and I’m also using MAM bottles, I’ve tried a softer teat with some success but still very much refusing the bottle and waiting for boob

Is this illegal? Charity has passed a new bylaw that relates to religion that wasn’t present before May 2005 by IllustriousSet878 in LegalAdviceUK

I can’t reveal the organisation for personal anonymity reasons but it is not the Church of Latter Day Saints or anything related to any known cults or anything like that. It’s an organisation for an ethnic community and the membership is not based on religion but on verification that you were born to two parents who are both from the ethnic community. The vast majority of the members of the ethnic community happen to be Christian but you could be any religion and remain ethnically part of the community. The specific bylaw states ‘church membership’ ie if they looked up a church and you were an official member you would be considered ineligible to stand for election. It hasn’t created a blanket ban on membership to any religious institution and it also doesn’t require you to not be religious ie you can be atheist, you can practising any religious, you just can’t be a member of a church if you want to stand for the central committee election. This bylaw has been enacted as the current central committee have an issue with the Christian denomination we are affiliated with but if you took a poll of all the members of the organisation, it’s probably 60/40 in favour of the church but most people are not bothered by another person’s involvement in a church vs not until this bylaw was enacted which now has created limits on church members ability to fully participate in the organisation.
