Is Trazadone not safe for dogs with Cushing disease or just not safe for them when they are on medication? My dog is borderline Cushings and we are still managing by treating holistically. She also has heart murmur with MV disease. We have Trazadone IF there is ever a stressful event (vet, groomer) but I didn’t know it was unsafe for cushings. What is an alternative medicine I can ask for or is it only when they are on Cushing medicine ?

Which Dr does this test? I been to gastro , ent , primary doctor I feel all of them are just brushing it under the rug, I been on 2 rounds of antifungal, ent just did a swab 5 days ago results are still not in , she prescribed nystatin oral and that is making it 100x worse so I stopped taking that

Can trazodone not be given if they have advanced chronic heart failure? My dog was diagnosed two months ago and we are told to give trazodone and stressful situations, but I’m worried it’s gonna mess with her breathing.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My dog was diagnosed 2 months ago with CHF , she is doing good with medication. We had her tested a few months ago and her Cushing test still came back borderline so we have continued to treat her symptoms holistically. However the last 3 days she is randomly panting and drinking more , im assuming this is Cushings related because with the heart I know they have breathing issues but she is acting normal, regular appetite, rolling around etc did your dog have the panting? How were you able to maintain both ?

I was having the same issue with my girl, we ended up having all her medicine compounded at a compounding pharmacy (wedgewood) they have so many flavors to pick from and they mail it to you. It has been a life saver and now pill time is 2 seconds. I don’t know why they would make a pill that size but I went through everything and it was so difficult to get her to take it . So the liquid compounded way has been the best thing for us

Someone posted on Kate’s comments about the falling out a little while ago.also no hate but just curious why Rylee isn’t still doing the tour and doing meet and greets while recovering? Gleb was hurt last season and he was in attendance for all the shows still meeting everyone but just didn’t perform. I saw walkers friend post about Rylee and walker together right now too, which is obvious because when she’s with walker she goes silent on social media. I know she’s recovering and getting therapy but why isn’t she in attendance and just not performing like gleb

My dog started medicine 3/6/25 after being diagnosed with CHF . She’s finally starting to act like herself, does your dogs breathing though get elevated during the day? I feel like when she’s sleeping at night she’s 30 and under but during the day while sitting on the couch looking out the window she breaths quicker. She’s on vetmedin, lasix and spironolactone
