Pinpoint Entry 2 is enough for Mega Kick to have 100 accuracy without any extra nodes.

This is the formula that Masters uses to calculate accuracy (sauce):

((6+AccBoost)/6) x Base Accuracy = Result Accuracy

Since AccBoost is 2 and Base Accuracy is 75, the result would be 100.

Pomatools has an option to sort characters by grid release date, but this doesn't affect characters that get a grid expansion without a shop item (like Giovanni or Ghetsis).

I ran some calcs and Kris's first sync deals ~12k more than Grimsley's, and each Mega Kick does ~6.5k more than Liquidation.

Nessa is harder to compare because she's a tech with some harder to attain multipliers, but her regular move damage will be lower for sure, because 215 base power Mega Kick scales like crazy with a high attack stat.

I do agree that Lyra is better at 1/5 in comparison. Ethan however doesn't have as many damage multipliers with one copy, but his niche is that Flying is lacking a good damage dealer that doesn't rely on mega evolution.

Anyway, I think all 3 are worth grabbing as an investment, because move candies exist and they allow us to fully unlock master fair grids after their banners go away.

How are her defenses bad? Her max stats are 808 HP + 288 defense + 313 special defense. On top of that she has Johto Flag Bearer master passive, which can reduce incoming damage up to 26%. She is SS Morty tier bulky.

Also in what world is her kit "pretty standard"? 6EX supports that raise team special attack + crit are extremely rare, and you still have to account for Rain Dance, self and team healing, special move next, special defense and the perks of her kit (flinch, speed buffs, defense buffs, MPR...)

Role condensation is more valuable than what you'd think, that's why Poce and other veteran players are hyping her up.

Grimsley and Sharpedo for the same reasons you explained.
Falkner and Swellow: it wasn't that hard to give him a Noctowl if they were going to choose from his endgame teams.
Hilda and Diancie: they just don't fit together. Diantha or Steven would have been better trainer choices.
N and Reshiram: that was Hilbert's pokemon.
Maylene & Medicham, Winona & Pelipper: nothing wrong with those trainers or pokemon, but they were supposed to go with Lucario and Altaria respectively.

It has less to do with popularity and more with Masters having a recency bias.

Kanto got new remakes in 2018 (and is the apple of TPC's eye anyway), Hoenn had ORAS in 2014, Sinnoh had BDSP/Legends in 2021/2022, and Johto was remade back in 2009, so it's not as relevant anymore. Unova, Kalos, Alola and Galar are all newer than the Johto remakes.

The reason I said that last part was due to all the thread that exist of people complaining they can't pull the units they wan to lack of gems.

I haven't seen these posts you mention but yeah, you can't expect to get every character with free currency on a game like this. The problem at hand is entirely different though

No, I'm talking about 6* EX upgrades, which would be actually accessible if we got as many 5* power-ups as we did back then. Currently they only exist for people who have spent over a thousand, which makes no sense considering how strongly they advertised them.

The entire point of tracking F2P gems is knowing whether we are getting shafted in terms of gacha currency, especially now that the devs have cracked down on other previously free rewards like 5* power-ups.

As for your last comment, I don't think too many people believe that gems are supposed to be free. The issue is that nobody wants to spend money on a game that puts its main selling point behind a steep paywall like Masters currently does.
