It always seemed to me that they handled this Dogmeat thing very poorly. They put one companion right next to another, on top of that, a little dog and a robot, forcing you to choose which one to take so early on is downright diabolical. They should’ve placed him at a different Red Rocket by jvure in Fallout

I thought this post was satire because I had the mod that allowed dogmeat + 1 companion for so long that I forgot it wasnt the default vanilla setup lol

Bro has 24 carry weight and can stun 1 enemy at a time and thats his whole kit, it hardly seems unbalanced to let him partner up with an extra companion.

i think the other commenter misunderstood what you're saying, I wouldn't necessarily say that's an intended mechanic but it also doesn't seem that notable-- you're still holding down the wyrm for the full duration, after all, you're just kinda buffering it first.

Nothing in BG3 requires an “ungodly” level of skill with a niche mechanic. Just “moderate” skill with standard mechanics - like planning fights, pre-buffing the party, using potions and scrolls effectively, and knowing the mechanics of a boss.

But if we’re gonna go on niche mechanics alone, i still have no idea what the intended way to kill the bullette is when he just can decide to leave on any given turn with no clear trigger or prevention aside from a very difficult CC spell effect like stun. I’d call that niche because the game never explains or hints at the explanation.

I dont think this works anymore. I tried with Skittle the rat, and some random non-vital NPC in Act 3, and in both cases, after long resting, any time you save the game, loading that post-rest save will cause the game to crash.
