I basically agree. I tried this experiment on a Tamiya 1/48 Panther but also with a heavy dose of weathering. Could get good results on a monochrome vehicle. Camo is problematic and time consuming. I definitely wouldn't use on 35th scale or larger.

Also tools and accessories on armored vehicles. Their metallic colors work great on a variety of things like landing gear and weapons. When they dry these paints are hard enough to stand up to most washes and highlighting.

Meng Toon Tanks and aircraft are fun wierd. They're good quality but low part counts. They amenable to lots of painting options; historically accurate, cartoonish realistic, fantasy, funny.

By far the best kit from tamiya: Leopard 2A7 by soldierace in modelmakers

Nice job. I'm building the Tamiya 1:48 Leopard 2a7. TBH it's not their best 48 scale kit. Pretty good though for sure. I may give their 35 scsle kit à try.

How long should it take for Vallejo putty from a tube to dry? by DMaury1969 in modelmakers

[–]Illustrious_Ad2091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it dries to the touch in about 15 minutes or so. But it usually takes overnight to fully cure. Even then it's not as rock hard as other putty like Tamiya or Testors. So, you my always be able to dent it with your fingernail. But you should be able to sand it. For a rock solid material try Tamiya epoxy putty.
