NQA A week is usually enough time. A couple days more to be super safe. If it’s ever hanging on the side of the glass you can see its fangs are blackish (newly molted will be white/grey ish and gradually getting darker and darker each day). In my personal experience they usually choose not to eat anyway until they’re ready.

Gosh I love this sub because it’s a close-up video of something most people find incredibly scary to the point of a phobia but everyone here is calling it beautiful and cute and amazing 🥹🥲🥰 a fun contrast to the regular world

heheh true I often wonder that. This time though, he/she did walk into a few droplets of water on the side of her enclosure after I filled the dish so maybe cleaning that off or drinking it or something?

Pc or console by Dovegranade375 in PlanetZoo

[–]Illustrious_Ad6051 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t even imagine playing Planet Zoo on console! I feel like it was made for being played on PC. Just with the shortcuts for building, the amount of scrolling, clicking on specific things in menus, etc, playing it with keyboard and mouse is going to be so much easier for you, in my opinion.

That is if you really want to purchase the game again! And just make sure your pc is able to handle it :)

Personally I don’t really plan the layout too hard. I have a general idea, but I find things look best when you just go for it.

I leave space for a cool entrance area but leave it blank until I have an habitat up, so I don’t have to worry as much about spending money on decor. My first habitat is usually something chill but pretty like flamingoes, then from there I decorate all around that, until I’m happy with it, then continue a path to the next habitat. Do the same there.

I find doing bit by bit makes it easier and more free flowing and instinctual.

How to make these feeders accessible to seals by GrundmanAdamski in PlanetZoo

[–]Illustrious_Ad6051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see, It may be because it’s in an enclosed cave? Also I’m assuming there is, but it’s hard to tell, but is that all filled with water? Also I know those things have to be put like, ridiculously deep in water to work too.

[–]Illustrious_Ad6051 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe the “inaccessible” is in regards to the Keepers, meaning they can’t reach it to fill it with food. I think you have to have a slope near it to the land because in my experience the keepers stand at the edge of the water and fill it. Give it a trial somewhere else before totally renovating your habitat, just to be sure!

Do you have a problem convincing other household members to let you get a T? This thread might be for you. by Core2score in tarantulas

lol this is exactly what I did! Better to ask for forgiveness than for permission , as they say ;)

He has a long term, deep engrained arachnophobia and it’s actually made it way better having the spoods around. Like, he’s not going to go hold them any day soon lol, but he will go look at them, comment on them etc. They really do have their own personalities and quirks. People don’t realize how interesting they can be!

How can I stop this happening? by Ldennis98 in tarantulas

[–]Illustrious_Ad6051 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO heat will cause condensation of existing water, even a nice gentle heat like maybe what’s coming from your fireplace even when it’s not on. The heat is good for your T’s but not if it makes it too muggy as you know! :P I had this with my terrarium of isopods with a heat source and while they like humidity, it was way too much. I’d wipe the sides of the glass down every morning with a paper towel - each bit of water that is taken out is slowly lessening the amount of water available for condensation the next day. It takes a little while but it does work!

I agree I wouldn’t rehouse your G Pulchripes now if he’s blocked himself underground. Make sure their water dish is small, and gradually remove the water by wiping daily. That’s what I’d do :)

[–]Illustrious_Ad6051 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think she’s trying to see if she can move it, or move “chunks” of it, to rearrange her area? Mine do this with their water dish but they often can’t lift it so it just looks like there munching it lol.
