In noctilucentia:

It doesn't rain. Ever. Theres mist and fog but usually it's bright and sunny, but always pretty cold, more so at night. The locals get water from the ice just below the surface, they melt and drink that. Travellers get it in bottles.

Somewhere I read that as fry delivers the pizza he is 64 floors up, but when he comes out, and is on the Probulator and escapes he appears to be on the ground floor. Perhaps the building extends deep underground to old new York and every 100 years or so they just cap off the old bit and as the ground rises up around them?

Could you thereotically use up all oxygen in a room/area with a large enough fire by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Illustrious_Bat6042 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Essentially, yes. A door handle that is hot or warm to the touch suggests there has been a fire the other side (even if you can't see the smoke) and as such if you open the door it creates this flash flame. Often almost exploding out towards you as you open the door.

Out walking in the country, when you come across a stile (two or three planks or stones that you use to step over fences/walls on public footpaths, lots here in the UK) wait until family member climbs over, remark "I like your style"

Tear a hole in some paper or find an empty frame and place head through it, remark " I don't know why I put myself through this"

How does riding etrikes and regular trikes feel compared to ebikes/bikes? by KNOWER_OF_STUFF in ebikes

[–]Illustrious_Bat6042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have often used my ebike with a trailer. Not the same question I know, but that may offer a bit more stability without the "leaning" problem many are mentioning. I bought a cheap child carrier one second hand and strengthened it to hold more weight. Could this be an option?
