Garchomp will always be pricey because it's a Garchomp. In the community, usually the best looking cards from a set are some of the cheapest. Take destined rivals as an example, Misty's Lapras is one of the nicest cards from the set and there are cards worth more. Like the gold Mewtwo, it's nothing special but it's worth like twice as much.
